maddog2498 Posted 15 hours ago #1 Posted 15 hours ago Has anybody on here use a car tire on their venture? If so, what are your experiences and tires your use, and how many miles do you get and do you feel any different in handling? Thank You in advance.
Freebird Posted 15 hours ago #2 Posted 15 hours ago I haven’t but know that some members have. Hopefully one of them will see this and help. I don’t know why but Nexxen comes to mind.
RDawson Posted 12 hours ago #3 Posted 12 hours ago (edited) Yep Nexen is what I use. Look under the forums tab and scroll down to darksiders. Edited 10 hours ago by RDawson 1
luvmy40 Posted 2 hours ago #4 Posted 2 hours ago +1 on the Nexen. Easiest tire change I've ever done and great ride/performance. 1
bpate4home Posted 2 hours ago #5 Posted 2 hours ago (edited) On the '06 I ran a Nexan. on the '18 I run a g-Force 2 205/55/16 Edited 2 hours ago by bpate4home
bpate4home Posted 2 hours ago #6 Posted 2 hours ago Additionally, I thought there was a little more counter steer when I first went dark but that feeling dissipated quickly. I 100% notice better stopping and better handling in wet weather. There was no difference in cornering traction. Tires have lasted 20 -30 K miles compared to 5 - 8 K with MC tires.
RDawson Posted 2 hours ago #7 Posted 2 hours ago I’m headed to the Vogel rally today, mountain twisties darkside annually. Turning isn’t an issue.
RDawson Posted 1 hour ago #9 Posted 1 hour ago Right now I’m running a Shinko front. The fronts last long enough I haven’t gone double dark.
