jonesy Posted May 18, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2013 but was a little different, got 50 feet away and it was a big black bear crossing the road, good thing I slowed down when I first saw it. Have seen moose, deer, turkeys, raccoons, skunks, crossing the road but never a bear till today.

Skid Posted May 18, 2013 Share #8 Posted May 18, 2013 I see one or two a year cross the road or beside the road here. Not to rare to hear of one getting hit by a car. I took this pic last fall. The mother is directly above cub at top of pic in the tree line watching her cub in this pic.

Flyinfool Posted May 19, 2013 Share #18 Posted May 19, 2013 Whatever you do, do not stop to take a pic of the cute little bear on the right, when mama is hiding on your left. I tried that once and mama did serious damage to the drivers side of my Suburban. I also found out that a POed mama can run 45 mph for about a mile. Never did get the pic, got to busy driving down that logging road.....
