XV1100SE Posted December 14, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2012 Came across this unit that distributes power. Looks interesting and replaces fuses. http://www.motorcycleinnovations.ca/Rowe_PDM60_p/pdm60.htm
Flyinfool Posted December 14, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2012 How often do people really blow fuses. and to reset the line you have to turn the bike of and then back on. For when I am trouble shooting a circuit, I replace the fuse with a resettable circuit breaker. once the circuit is repaired the fuse goes back in. Electronic circuits can go bad, transistors can fail open or closed. Fuses only fail open. I guess that I am just old school and do not like to put all of my trust in a transistor. Venture n Dixie Posted December 14, 2012 Share #4 Posted December 14, 2012 I didn't read all the details but would this provide the "delay" needed for those high class headlights ya'll have been installing?
RedRider Posted December 14, 2012 Share #5 Posted December 14, 2012 I didn't read all the details but would this provide the "delay" needed for those high class headlights ya'll have been installing? That was part of what interested me. I am always concerned that I forgot to turn on my headlight after starting. My LED indicator has gone out on my switch, but the switch still works. I got a replacement switch, just haven't installed it. RR
Flyinfool Posted December 14, 2012 Share #6 Posted December 14, 2012 If all you are after is a delay for the HID. http://www.wolstentech.com/products/timedelayrelay/tdr-s.php
Ozlander Posted December 15, 2012 Share #7 Posted December 15, 2012 Considering that I have blown about one fuse on my bike, do to my doing something stupid, The payback time would be very long. I'll pass.
Carbon_One Posted December 15, 2012 Share #8 Posted December 15, 2012 I do like it but I think I'll pass as well. They are just way too proud of it at $150 to my liking. Larry
