Ryana7769 Posted July 14, 2012 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Well I promised pictures of my new ride. Turns out waiting for the color I wanted I got a 2013 instead. They just released them last week. The only difference is that Victory is trying to come out from the Polaris shadow now and have redesigned the logo. I think the logo is better and very nice. I will be hanging around here and leave my info on the assistance page. This is a great site with great people and I appreciate all the help I have gotten either by asking or just researching all the great information here. Hats of to Don for keeping it so great!! Oh and it hasn't rained here in Michigan in over a month and I was saying it was because I haven't had a bike. Well guess what, I got rained on while riding home! Go figure. The drought will now cease. Edited July 14, 2012 by Ryana7769

Sylvester Posted July 14, 2012 Share #4 Posted July 14, 2012 I have ridden the Vission and Cross Country Tourer a number of times. To me the Vision is a perfect distance riding machine. The Cross Country Tourer is nearly as perfect for the same riding. For me, I can't get used to the Vision's look. Therefore I would be more inclined to purchase the C C. BUUUUTTTT my 2002 RSMV is running like new since it only has a little over 150,000 miles on it, so I am not in the market for any new motorcycle at this time. :backinmyday:
Ryana7769 Posted July 14, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted July 14, 2012 Well to be honest I was very happy to with the Venture UNTIL I hurt my back and then the top heavyness started getting to me. The Victory is so much lighter feeling and very nimble at slow speeds. Thats what motivated me to move on. I have owned 6 motorcycles up to this point and they have all been Yamaha's so other than the weight I was very satisfied.

hunter 1500 Posted July 14, 2012 Share #11 Posted July 14, 2012 I really like the Victory CC and it would be a toss up whether I would buy it or the Kawasaki Vaquero. Good luck with it and may you have many happy miles.

Kirby Posted July 14, 2012 Share #14 Posted July 14, 2012 I've seen them, just haven't been around up close. Do these bikes shake like a HD at idle? I think they are very nice looking bikes.
SilvrT Posted July 14, 2012 Share #15 Posted July 14, 2012 Those are awesome bikes ... I've ridden them a couple times and would love to own one. Black is my fav color for a bike (besides sun glow orange lol) but the black bikes are a PITA to keep clean and looking showroom new as every little mark will show up. Ya have to dust them before and after every ride or wash them ... colors like white, silver, orange .... well, I've washed my Wing once since last year when I bought it and dusted it twice, yet I have ridden it several times. Congrats on getting your new scoot! Oh, if you haven't found out yet, those CCT's kinda like the rpm's to be about 2500 and above for their power to come alive. I think they are very nice looking bikes. They don't shake at all...Harley has a patent on the engine design(flaw:rotf:) that makes them shake and sound the way they do. The Victory is very smooth and enjoyable to ride.

Yeah I noticed on the test ride that the power is there just different than the V4 on the Venture. And your right its around 2500 when it really takes off...once it does though you got all the power you want/need.

And your right its around 2500 when it really takes off...once it does though you got all the power you want/need. My last test ride was about 2 weeks ago. Had a chance to really "ride" the CCT (was all by myself). That's when I discovered where it's power band is and it really does have a lot of "GO". Even in 6th gear while over about 110 km/h it still had plenty of "ooomph". Was a real "dream" to ride. Great handling and I really felt comfy. What really impressed me was the ease of doing a low speed tight turn. I never had to even "think" about it... first time at it and I did a full "pin" turn no problem. I took some curves today that on the RSV I would run 50 or so on and looked down and I was doing 65 and didn't realize it. Nice at speed you do have the power to pull out and pass without alot of downshifting.
Ryana7769 Posted July 15, 2012 Author Share #24 Posted July 15, 2012 Ok I have over 400 miles on it now and can give an update on how it goes Pros: Very easy to ride at low speed and on the curves. Sound system is very good even at highway speeds Plenty of power for passing Lots of information from the onboard computer The adjustable uppers bring lots of air to my torso and face. There are plenty more but theses are the ones that stood out to me. Cons/things I'm not sold on yet: Cable clutch-its pretty stiff setting a stoplight. Handlebars are a little to straight to my liking, but, by the end of the weekend they feel alot better. Lots of heat on the bottom of my left thigh. Keep in mind it has been in the mid to upper 90's all weekend. Mirrors are crap....going to buy the Arlen Ness black teardrop ones Engine is a little weak on take off compared to the V4. Belt drive....I'm not a huge fan NO CASSETTE All in all I am very happy and glad I made the switch so far.
SilvrT Posted July 16, 2012 Share #25 Posted July 16, 2012 I was telling Nina (my wife) about your purchase today and she asked me "would you trade the Wing for one of those (the CCT)" and I said..... "yep, if I had the bucks, I surely would" Now why on earth would I do that? The Wing is very comfortable and quite nimble. It has GOBS of power. It handles like a crotch rocket in the twisties. It DOES NOT have a Cassette Deck BUT.... it doesn't look or sound like a real motorcycle IMO. and... that CCT is one smart looking scoot and is very nice to ride. So, yes, if I had the bucks, I'd be riding a CCT .. .but not so long ago I was saying I'd be riding an Ultra Limited too so hey, I have the right to change my mind from one day to the next LOL
