I don't know if this has been put up already, but my cousin posted it on Facebook and I thought it was worth passing on, [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--92lbsY2T0]YouTube - NRA Life of Duty Patriot Profile -- Patriot Guard Riders[/ame]

Mission Complete

I must say, I was very impressed with the logistical planning. Everything went very smoothly and that's saying something with somewhere near 50 bikes involved. The event included a parade through the neighborhood of the honoree. Many of the residents were out on the street to watch the parade. Some were taking pictures or movies, some held their hands over their hearts or saluted, some just smiled and mouthed 'Thank You'. It was very gratifying. Each rider was provided a standard sized US flag with an 8' staff. We were arranged to flank the entrance to the hall where the memorial ceremony was to be held. It was awe inspiring to see all those flags snapping in the brisk wind. As the attendees filed in, some took the opportunity to shake hands or pat us on the shoulder and say "Thank You".

Lots of people say they are patriotic. It seems to me that this is a group that shows their patriotism with actions, not just words. These folks spend their time and money to honor someone they don't know for no reason other than that person served our country in the armed forces. I felt right at home with these people and look forward to continuing my association with them.

G&V, you will find your participation with the PGR to be one of the most rewarding things you have done. Both bittersweet and heart warming at times. Don't forget your sunglasses!

If you are not comfortable in a group ride ( or even if you are ) situation please be very careful, we did a 62 mile PGR KIA escort mission last Friday , it was a rainy day, we were escorting the hearse from SANGB to the funeral home on the interstate in the rain @ 50 MPH and had 1 rider lose it and go down taking out another rider. The ensuing scramble by the other riders and cages was scary ! No one else went down by shear luck. Both downed riders are OK with just bumps , bruises and road rash.

Been a PGR supporter for a number of years now, and get all the notices. Can't do a ride because I become a blubbering mess at funerals.... God bless those who can do this and can still function....

Wonderful video, wonderful organisation.

That said, I am entirely unsure wtf it has to do with the NRA, and why their video division feels it appropriate that they should be the ones to produce this video.

The NRA is a highly politicized Corporate paid for pressure group.

The Patriot Guard is anything but!
