We partied with a pig big time. The guest of honor was a 140lb pig that was cooked to perfection by Gary's son Chris. About 25-30 people showed up? I'm not sure of the exact count yet. We ate pig, drank beer, ate pig, told stories, ate chili, rode the roads, ate Eagle Eye's famous baked beans, and ate more pig.

A huge thanks goes out to our breakfast sponsors. We had pancakes, sausages, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and eggs cooked to order. The head breakfast Chef was Black Owl and he was assisted by me. Being able to offer free breakfast on site was a huge bonus for everyone.

There's a lot more to come. But we are most thankful that everyone arrived without injury this year and we sent the home the same.

Ready for next year????

We (Marilyn and I and Gord and Laura) made it home safely this evening about an hour and half ago. Shared the road with John and left him west bound at Rugby. He should be home soon as well.

What a great PIP! Best weather, great guest of honor....and wow...those beans and the chili. All great. Best of all we got to see some more friends again and keep them up way too late bsing. There was talk of banning us cause we stay up too late and drink too much! Imagine that!

Thanks Gary and Ann for sharing your home again. And thanks for all the work done by Russ and Will and Gary and Kris. Without Kris I think the pig would still be running around somewhere!

Next time we will remember our passports and not have to return home to get them.... and maybe arrive on time for a change!

Me and Yooper and LA made it back to my place around 7:30. 500+ miles and another great ride.

Thanks to Anne, Gary and Chris for a great time. It's so great to have them open their house to us all.

Chris has this pig cooing down pat now! Couldn't be better.

Black Owl---------GREAT FOOD!!!

A great turn out with good friends.

I for sure will not forget the ride that Juggler took us on. --I think that I could see the curvature of the earth!!!!!!!

You should all try to get there next year. It will only be better.

And the folks that have us the breakfasts--------------Thanks

To meet new friends and old--the best---

Anne--Be sure and give Scooter a big hug for me.

Steve

i believe that this was the greatest P.I.P. ever.. it was so great to see our friends again. .. every one that shows up holds a special place in our heart forever as it is the best group of people anyone could ever meet.. Carl knows exactly what i am talking about.. right Carl?? and a big hand for Russel for for putting this whole event together.. and juggler for the awsome job on the P.I.P. website.. the side benefit is, that my shop is once again, cleaned for the year.. and a huge thanks goes out to every one who showed up for the event.. we didnt even find a cigarette butt afterwards, when we went out to clean the yard... thanx guys!! and a thanx to Rocket for working on my bike for me. he sure knows what he's doin..

as for those of you that couldnt make it, there will be another chance next Labor Day weekend (2010) as soon asi can find a 2010 calendar i will make the exact dates known so you can plan ahead.. theres even been the rumor of maybe even a weddin there..:clap2::clap2::sign isnt that spec

Hi All,

We made it home about 2 this afternoon. Spent the night at the casino in Morton, MN last night...let's just say we contributed! mo%20money.gifTraveled with Tim and Debie until Sioux Falls. Quite a windy ride today.

We just wanted to write to say thanks for Gary, Ann, Kris, Russ:stirthepot:, Wil and all for the work they put into PIP. This was our first experience at this and we met a lot of GREAT people, had a GREAT time and saw some GREAT scenery. I swear those trees tunred color every day.

Now, it's back to the grindstone tomorrow. One good thing is that it's a short week!

Take care all and will see if I can figure out how to post some pictures soon....be prepared for some of Dan and his cigar!

Thanks again,

Steve and Ginny (merrride)

Mike,

There is a real simple way to make sure that those in attendance at the PIP won't abuse you.

Bring JoDee with you next year. She does such a good job of abusing you that we would be to engrossed in marvelling at how well she does it that we wouldn't have time to abuse you. :rotfl::rotfl: But then, you have so much that deserves abuse that we may just have to help her as the opportunity presents. :stirthepot: :stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot:

The possibility of a wedding was raised at breakfast Monday.

Might be the only way we can get Freebird to come out for the festivities :stirthepot:.

If/as it starts to jell more information will be posted.

:mytruck:

SO, Freebird as the BOSS can marry people just like a captain of a ship???? WOW! :yikes:

I did not know that! (to coin a phrase)

As per my usual method - I posted my "thanks to all" message in a different thread than everyone else. So, at the risk of repeating myself - Thanks to all for a good time. OR - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=33734&page=7

The pics are great - thanks to everyone who posted them. Now I can show my wife who everyone is.

Dan - Hope I didn't slow you down on the way home. And you are 1 sick puppy, dude. You give a whole new meaning to the term "animal husbandry". :rotf:I hope you at least sent Whiskey some flowers.

As for a wedding - I can only guess who that involves. :confused24:

Hey, I suppose it's cheaper than going to Jamaica :hurts: Could be a lot of fun. But then every PIP will become and anniversary party!

BTW - how many more years can those 2 get away with being the Honeymooners?:stirthepot:

Ride safe all - good to hear everyone got home OK.
