  1. I knew it was still close to the forth of July as the bottle rocket was lit and headed north scraping and bouncing along the road and out of site. we were a bit worryed but got a message he made it to Newberry Paul it was great having you here for the nite and visting. your welcome to stop back anytime as the couch is always open. now that your not here i got my computer back but what did you do to the poor dog he still wont come out from under the chair? 2. I have just recieved an order from Newenough.com today. It arrived exactly as described and very quickly, (most stuff coming to Canada seems to take quite a while to arrive from most suppliers, probably our customs agents doing their (ahem!) job). I was surprised to see that they have a section for us hard to fit riders, and, as each product fits differently, they attempt to give you a chart with actual measurements so you tell what size will actually work for you depending on product line. I have to tell you if they wouldnt have had the chart I would have ordered a size or 2 smaller on the Joe Rocket mesh jacket I ordered. It fits well and I am very happy with it and the very good price they had on it. I thought that 85 bucks for the joe rocket jordan jacket with liner and padding in my size was an excellent deal as most places for something comperable were close to double. So thanks NewEnough for a job well done. Brian:cool10:

  5. Anyone here besides me? The reason I ask is because I have a ton of autographed hockey stuff that I think Im finally going to turn loose of. Rocket Richard, Gretzky, Roy, Sakic, Forsberg, Bobby Hull ect.....hit me up if interested.
  6. Interesting story. I KNOW it's not necessary...but I would sure like to ride it. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycles/triumph-rocket-3-turbo/index.htm
  7. I have a Joe Rocket textile jacket for sale. Not sure of the exact model, but looks like the Alter Ego. It has the zipout waterproof lining, and removable outside panels that cover the mesh. Has a drawstring to tighten the waist. Includes the armour in the spine area, sholders, and elbows. It's an XL in great shape. $100.00 shipped to the 48 states. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j204/DragracerUSA/DSCN9988.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j204/DragracerUSA/DSCN9987.jpg
  8. Took the day off yesterday to do some riding and to work on my sanity. It worked! As I rode around I decided I would check out some of the local bike shops to look at other bikes and in the process I managed to see three that I have only seen in photos or from afar. First stop was at a Triumph motorcycle dealer where they had quite a few reproductions (what they call their modern classics) of their old product line as well as many of the newer bikes in stock. The Triumph Tiger and the Rocket Classic (2 different versions) both caught my eye. Would love to test drive both and may do that next Spring. Dealer was very friendly and told me that if I wanted a test drive to come on back. I could see the Tiger as a nice second bike for commuting to work with and something to take out onto the rural roads to play with. I've already test drove a VStrom 650 and would like to try the bigger Strom and do a comparision to the Tiger. In terms of the Tiger vs the Rocket, I think I would be more interested in the Tiger over the Rocket as I already have two big bikes already with my Wing and Venture. The Rocket has no rear trunk option, just side bags, and the floor boards look skimpy (on some models you just get pegs)...but I would love to test drive the Rocket just to see how it handles. An 2.3 liter inline 3 cyclinder...man that is different...would love to see how it handles. The bike itself is lighter than the Venture and Wing, I think it's a little over 600 lbs. and when you sit on it the seat is big and comfortable and well balanced. It does sit lower to the ground than both the Wing and Venture however. Next stop was to a couple of Yamaha dealers to see if I could get a peek at the new Raider. No way...won't be in for a few months according to the sales force. I did however finally get to see a Blue and Black Venture up close and personal. What a great color, and I loved the speckled dash with that color combination. Also saw a Kawasaki Concours out on the floor. What a sharp looking bike, but for me, 6'...240...that would have to be a solo option only. When I sat on the bike I knew right away that something would have to be done to change the handlebar situation for me. Of all the bikes I would want, I think the Concours as a second bike would have to be at the top of my own list, and it would mean that either the Venture or Goldwing would have to go. But then when I left the dealership I quickly realized as I climbed on my Wing that I already own the bigger version of the Concours which I rode home. Later... I also saw a tricked out

    Triumph Sold Out!

Boy! What a disappointment. Been hearing for some time about a new touring model Triumph was doing based on the Rocket platform. Lot's of secrecy and anticipation. What a disappointment when I actually saw what they did. The end result looks like every other main stream cruiser on the market. They even abandoned the dual headlight which gave it a distinctive look and went to single headlight. Reports are it rides very well - only thing on the bike linked to the original Rocket is the motor. New frame, suspension, tires, brakes, etc. - completely redone for better rideability - but the styling is boring IMHO. They had a chance to take a really cool platform and do something unique (not as unique as Victory, hopefully) but you get the point. Unfortunately, while the bike may rock and ride very well - the styling is plain old mainstream. Very disappointed - think Triumph missed an opportunity.
