    Finally getting a few things done on the RSTD:) 1) Have had my VIP trunk on for several months 2)Installed 2 sets of blinking break light I-pod LEDs on license plate bracket. 3)installed KROMEWERKS mufflers (waiting for 30 degree slash tips to be delivered) BOY I LIKE THESE PIPES. 4) Installed engine bar brackets. You can stand on them bars now. 5) Installed break/turn/stop lights on lower edge of VIP trunk. Havent hooked up yet ---will do that tomorrow. 6) tried to order rack for VIP trunk:confused24: ---was told new rack coming out in a couple of months --said old rack was cracking trunks. DID I SAY I LIKED THE KROMEWERKS MUFFLERS:cool10: :cool10: ---Buzzard

    One of the guys said that the KWs slip ons reduced his MPG. Anyboby else had the happen????---Buzz

    I used Rotella and Rotella syn both in my VTX1100 with no problems. Also used Mobil 1 syn. I will switch to Mobil 1 syn "Gold Cap" when I get a few more miles on White Lightin-----Buzz

    Thanks Freebird. Wish I had been a litte more "tire informed" when I bought the RS. I might have made a deal if I had noticed the age of the tires. Only experience I have had is with Dunlops. I was happy to see the it didnt have the Dunlops on It. ----Buzz

    lol---Is a little drastic Stoutman Im definately going to Avons or Metzlers when I change. I was riding a 1100 Shadow when I bought the Royal Star. I was concerned about the slow speed handling on the bigger bike. Can honestly say I am having no trouble with th RSTD slow speed -even 2 up and with the Bridgestones. (about the only way we ride). On the Honda forums --all the guys and gals swear about the Metzs. Have read on the RS forums about some having problems. Dont know. I will put a reasonable amount of miles on the BSs (it will take about 10 or 12 months) and I sounds like im going to be a happy camper when I change. BTW --Stoutman --where is COLLEYVILLE???---Buzz

    Thank you sir, I had just looked that up on another site. My question now is the tires were made in 7/05. They are already 1 1/2 years old --should I be concerned about that? ----Buzz

    The sticker on the fron of my rstd says "Made in Japan-5/05"--------What "Year" do I have????----Buzz
