  1. huge help that will get er done
  2. Hmm i iwl lhave to check the box when i get home tonight. Did not inspect it much and i do not hear any whine coming from it as of yet.
  3. :dancefool:Sorry guys i know there are a ton of threads on this but man fishing through them all you end up more confused lol. Ok so i have about 78000 miles on the ol girl and the clutch has been slipping since oh about 15000 miles ago. I won a new Barnett clutch plate set and have never put them in. Should i use these or just try to replace the spring with heavier duty spring? If i use these do i need anything else along with it? Never done a clutch before but i know it is not that hard i just want to make sure i have everything to do it the day i tear it down as i hate to be with out it. New baby due next month so have to make sure i have the bike for my sanity. Thanks for the help.
  4. Wayne, he said from the day he gets it it would only be about 3 or 4 days to make and then the time for shipping which again much less then works. Just wondering if it is worth it. here is the webpage of the company i was speaking with. http://www.wilbersusa.com/aboutus.htm I will keep updating as i go.
  5. cool thanks guys. just wanted to make sure i was not crazy. Spoke to Works today nice enough but think i am going to go with YSS Shocks. Spoke with the owner today and really liked what he had to say. same price as Works but if you send him your shock he like works will duplicate it and also build it to the riders specs. But the kicker is if you let him keep your old shock price goes down to $349.00. So seems like a no brainer here. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again for all the input.
  6. Ok well need little assistance guys. So my 99' has 69,000 on it and just last week i parked in the garage for few days because i had to drive to work. after about day 3 i noticed a small river running from underbike to garage door. so i checked it out and it looked like it was coming from the rear shock. I have heard this before that they go bad just all of a sudden. so i cleaned up the mess and check the air pressure in it. 0 it had so i filled it up to 40lbs and rode to work. when i went to leave work it still was hold at 40lbs. here we are on thursday and still 40lbs in it. should i be looking for a different leak back there or is it possible that it can hold air and still leak oil. HELP! i dont want to replace the shock if i dont need to.
  7. Xm is my choice i have had it for 3 years now about and now have 4 radios. I have also had serius as i won a radio kit on a ride. tried that last year jsut to see because it came wit h6 months free sub. did not like the line up nearly as much. Plus it seems liek XM is signing more and more of al lthe sprots from serius. they also picked up nascar and as of next year they will have the exclusive rights to NHL games. Never had a problem with Xm i have even bougth a new radio from goodguys out here in socal when they were closing and the radio was frozen so i waited about 6 months and called xm and they had me send it in no questions asked. and refunded all my money for the past 6 months since the radio was not working. sent me a new one activated already and also through in 6 months free. cant complain at all about their service. as for wiring it up so easy and worry free. And like anythign you will hear music over again as there is only so much out there they can rotate through. you ride enough you will hear the same thing over and over again no matter what you listen to. Oh and XM has more channels then serius does so another added bonus. again jsut my opinion. eitherway you go it will be better then radio or fumbling around with an mp3 player. As for the way to wire it in the Aux port is the #1 way as far as quality of sound. then the tape then the fm transmitter. the transmitter is fine but when you start ridding long distance you will start to pick up station in other states or counties and that is a pain. do yourself a favor and splt the fairing and put a y adaptor in. good luck
  8. I thihnk i will tackle this tomorrow early and see where that gets me. need to do a rear tire change anyway so do it all at once.
  9. Ok so went and bought a suspension pump put the 57lbs in. bike ran great two up but it is losing air for sure. from the time i filled it 3:30 to the next morning i was at 20 lbs. what are the chances the hose is just leaking not the shock itself. Murphy's law says i wil lbe replacing the shock.
  10. yeah i have the i hate to sat harley davidson one for this. i think i only have about 42lbs in it so i iwll try to inflate a bit more see if that helps. otherwise looks like the level kit might be a next option. thanks again to all you for your advice. glad we are back up and running again as well. thanks Don!
  11. does anyone know for sure the max air you can put in your rear shock...
  12. Yeah maybe... i have plenty of leg to reach as being 6' 4 and a 34 inseem raising the bike might be a option. i will have to see what i put on there now. i want to say i have already gone the biggest i can. i will check and post it back on here. ok i currently have a 150/90 15 metzler on there.
  13. Ok so i have the 99 rsv and have never hand problem in last 3 years with this i need some help. up to about 6 months ago the passanger was 5' 8 and about 105 lbs. But when i got the "you work to much and when you are not working you are riding and i just dont enjoy that anymore." I upgraded to a new passanger. she is 5' 10 and well about 150 lbs i would say. well this is cause the bike to sit very low and in a on ramp or off ramp turn i am scraping pipes. has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it. I added a little more air to the back shock but that did not seem to help to to much and dont want to push adding to much more there. do i jsut need to go to an after market air shock or any other ideas?
