  1. Enjoy the trip "up there" and be sure that once you "get there" , You don't drive until you "come down from there"...

    2014 Gen 3 ?

Okay..here is the real scoop on this bike: a 1930 Henderson KJ Streamline motorcycle on Friday, June 14, 2013, in Nashville, Tenn., as part of the "Sensuous Steel" exhibit at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. The exhibit is made up of cars and motorcycles from the 1930s and 1940s that exemplify the elegance and styling characteristic of the Art Deco style. The exhibit is scheduled to run through Sept. 15. 2014 Gen 3 ?

Secret photo of the Gen 3 Venture ??
  10. I replaced my slave cylinder and did not remove the side cover to the best of my recollection. Just had to bend that wire holder way out of the way and then play with the unit until it dropped out. Going in was a lot easier !! Is my memory wrong ? Do you have to remove the side cover ?
  11. Happy..Happy..Happy Birthday !
  12. I'll let the experts chime in, but if you need any parts, I have an 84 dash off of one of my parts bikes that I can take some pieces out of if yours can be replaced.
  13. I posted a hitch rail hauler for dirt bikes yesterday. within 15 minutes I received a text saying he wanted to buy it. Next text was that he would pay $50.00 over any other offer. He would send a certified check. He would pay for shipping etc. Says he is back east. It's a $250.00 hauler. I wanted to blast him, but figured he had my cell # and I didn't want to start getting spammed in response. It just was amazing how fast he contacted me over my Craigs List post. Here are the texts... notice he uses the word "goods" instead of the item name... 14. I did the same thing on my 89 when I had the cluster off to grease the speedometer. Made a BIG difference ! Thanks for the write up.
  15. WHY ??? Because we keep electing idiots to positions of power ... oops...did this just become political ... Sometimes the truth must be told....
  16. Check your PM's. I need an address to mail them to.... Here is what I'll send:
  17. Okay....I take it that the tip over switch is right behind the light inside or held by a rubber encased thingy. Both bikes had it so I am sending both to you . Hopefully one works. Check both snd If ghe second one is good too just hang on to it and pass it on forward to someone else
  18. Ok.. I printed the picture. I will try to go over tomorrow. I checked the box of parts I have already taken off the bikes and there wasn't one in there. Hopefully there is at least one on one of the bikes. I'll let you know. Bill
  19. If you need a different tip over switch, and I can figure out what they look like AND if there is one on either of my 84 parts bikes you can have it for free and I will ship it at no charge. Just post a picture of it and maybe where it is mounted. I'll go over and look at the bikes.
  20. I used the silcone spray and a credit card to easily slide the diaphragms down. Make sure the hole in the slide is in the correct position and the diaphragm has the little "knob" in the correct position. I also practiced on my old one first to get he feel. Just took them off and put them on until I was comfortable doing it.
  21. Lou, I have an 87 that I tried to get running right. Started hard, ran like crap until warmed up, then ran like crap. Tried everything..then finally tore the carbs apart.. here is the link to that thread. There are some additional diaphragms on the side of the carbs.. Mine are shot. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=76730 Hope that isn't your problem. Bill
  22. Hope you had a big ice cream laden birthday day !!
  23. Carry alot of water. we just hit 105 today and it will stay hot for a long while. The wind will dehydrate you as you ride. Ride safe and good luck !!
  24. One other thing is that if you still have a heavy mixture of cleaner in your gas, it can make it run a little worse. Maybe dilute it, or drain it, and try straight gas for now. That way you are tuning it to a regular gas mixture. You can reuse the mixed gas later on.
