Yes will hit switchgaurd or whatever its called. I had to pull the clip things off the handlebars that hold cables. I think I had to sort of reroute the cables some but dont remember right now for sure. You may have to give them a little tug to get a bit more out of the frame for slack.
Back in the late 80 early 90 we had some pretty cool trailers guys had made in Ok TEx area. One fellow took the old ice chest style Dr Pepper cooler and made a trailer after repainting it etc. Now I saw one in a coke motife but they are fiberglass. Still looks cool. Lot of hot rods pull those types too.
Barry the 765 workes fine. No difference in car operation or on the bike. You can change the Icon on it to be a motorcycle if you want. If you have a program you can make your own routes up and install in GPS.
Yea Foster thats the kind I'm thinking of, But why are the dang things so pricey. Geeze. Jacket I have that is red is like this one.

All I can invision is the guy on laugh in pulling up to a light depending on these things to work and NO wheels. Blump over you go.
If I need them I'll either go trike or a Can-am
I picked up a bright red firsgear jacket with liner for nothing. I am having a zipper put in it thus why the good price. lol But I think when it get to be in the high 80-90's no way I'm gonna find it very easy to wear it. I might wear my Tourmaster mesh jacket. but the 2 vests I have tried on in the store felt warmish.
I have seen them around. We stayed on an Air Force Base last fall and when we got to the gate the SP told us we had to have hi-vis clothing. Best I could do was dig rain gear jacket out, they are brite yellow.
Dont look like it. I just tried a half dozen times. It apears you cant get enough heigth after unlocking the RAM clip to allow it to come off the garmin mount. I know I have a heck of a time usually getting the stupid little power plug clips to release.
There is a guide/access hole up front by engine you can use a screw stick or drive extension in to help with front floppy u-joint. Of course I didnt find this anywhere until I figured it out myself.
I have been thinking about one of these hi-vis mil spec type vests to be seen a little better. I think for where I'm at I need a vented or mesh type. The Icons and firstgear ones I have seen are a solid type that look more like the sport bike types. I guess I could just get the $9 one from wal mart the construction workers wear. But I would think they might flop to much at speed. Any thoughts.
Uh Oh may be bad timing. I got back into Sarasota Sun and on my trip across the roads going home east of Tampa bay area the Luv Bugs are out in force my friend. Nasty little buggers. Only last a couple weeks but do they make a mess. Good thing you got a windshield. Youll need a couple of bounce dryer sheets to help wash off the buggers. Have fun.
Pretty sure my Garmin 765 has the avoid certian roads option. I also use TYRE to plan routes. This way I can see where its trying to run me and if I dont like it you have option of avoidences in the program or simply drag and drop to where you want and it will calculate.
Find a local shop that installs bussiness radios. They should have a blank cover to go in it. I'm pretty sure if I'm welding a hole up in the roof I maight as well figure in a 1/2 paint job on the truck. If its a beater like my 96 I'd maybe try the fiberglass and a rattle can of color match stuff. I think I'd go the plastic plug route first though. Less muss n fuss
Replaced my E-3's with Michelein Commander II. Althought the front is just a tick narrower I haven noticed and decrease in handeling. Now I ain carving corners up neither but it feels fine. Is the grip loose on the front? or rear?
The plastic "body plugs" are the way to go. A little silicone sealer and pop in. Same kind they use to plug holes in firewall of cars of unused wires etc. Might try auto store on "help" rack.
May work but its low volume or something. What kind of GPS? I got an edsets cable and I can hear but the mike done work if your riding, sitting stil its OK. Garmin 765t
I had 900 vulcan carribean blue. I put a fairing on it and a friend of mine owns a paint shop. We matched up some paint from house of color. Was really close. Any way some stripes or something will cover? Or is it a bit more than that?
Man I dont think so. Only folks I know of that make paint to color code for bikes is color rite. This page shows 2 gray/silver colors for that year of bike. Heres a place cycle color that might be an option. Post a pic some may be able to help you out with an option. Problem being with just touching it up is the paint on the bike is 14yr old and the color you order will not be "aged" so will probably be different shade. Look thru the wifes fingernail polish collection. Your looking at somewhere around $30 for a small bottle of touch up.
