  1. I'm installing a new rear valve cover gasket, have the old gasket out and the sealing surfaces cleaned up. Last time I did this I used RTV silicone to seal the halfmoon area on each end of the head and after several years it was leaking again. Idon't have any RTV on Hand, but I do have a tube of Yamabond 4 semi drying liquid gasket, will the yamabond 4 work with the new rubber gasket?

  2. What's wrong with yours, Jay?

All the problems I've heard of stem from a dirty or loose connector inside the fairing at the radio junction. Mine freezes up and doesn't work until I take the connector apart and clean it good.

It's pulled loose from the mounting plate and pieces of the plastic housing that secure the screw ferrels are gone. I think it was caused by brake fluid that splashed on it while bleeding the clutch several years ago. I'm trying to repair it again, but eventually I'm going to need a new housing or a complete remote.

  5. Welcome to the club. I took one out back in 2010 , dusk coming north out of Red Lodge,MT. Wifey on the back, trailer in tow, sent the deer ass over tea kettle into the woods ! We stayed up, bike fender, passing lamps, signals and light visors all mangled [emoji21] Pulled the fender off the tire and finished our 2 week tour. This was all after Mr. Groundhogs met my front tire on our ascent of Beartooth Pass. My buddy that lives out there said he was going to report me for hunting without a license! [emoji1787]

  6. Sorry for your troubles!

I just got a call from my son saying a tree fell on his Mom's (my ex) new house, collapsing her utility shed and puncturing her home's roof. She is living in the mountains close to Hendersonville. About 20 years ago, a big pine fell on her house in Raleigh collapsing the roof. Those trees look nice but are dangerous.

Probably the same tornado that passed within 1 mile of our house Sunday morning at 3:45 am.

  7. All is well here in Upstate South Carolina. Jeannie and I are virus free and hope to stay that way.

Lots to do around the new place, ridding the woods of thorny vines, grape vines and Holly trees. Replaced all the facia on the house, new roof, gutters go up next week. Whew,,,,, think I'll go for a ride.

    Ý'all stay safe.

  8. Came across this just after my last post.

A top scientist with four degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology said he believes the "deep state" is using the coronavirus pandemic for its own agenda.Shiva Ayyadurai said that the chronic “fear-mongering” over the outbreak was being used to push an agenda.Ayyadurai said on Twitter:“As an MIT PhD in Biological Engineering who studies & does research nearly every day on the Immune System, the #coronavirus fear-mongering by the Deep State will go down in history as one of the biggest fraud to manipulate economies, suppress dissent, & push MANDATED Medicine!”

  9. I am trying to reach Larry AKA Carbon One. There is a fellow rider in need of a trailer hitch, I do not have direct contact info for Larry, I have tried email through the forum, PM through the forum and also instant messenger through FB, but no reply yet. If anyone has a direct number to him, I would appreciate it, if you could give him a ring and let him know.

    Thanks

I texted him with a link to this thread.

  10. ITS HEEErrreeee!!!!

Still in the shipping box, I have to finish the electrical for outlets and lights to where it will reside. Then I have to build it.

So what printer did ya get? We had 4 3d printers at the school, I never did get the chance to play with them before I left there.
