  1. Jeanie looks like she is gonna barf :hihi:,, I have seen that look on Tippies face numerous times Jeanie = dont feel bad... Aren't you glad you got a Raggy to keep life adventurous young lady?? We sure are!! :guitarist 2:

Hey J,,, is it true that wounds heal faster in the north because of less humidity?:detective: You definitely should know the answer to that one by now:fishin:

Lol, Jeannie reacted as if I cut my arm off with a chainsaw! She was able to drive me to the ER after calling the neighbor to find out where it is . I think age is the limiting factor, not humididity :thumbsup2:

Almost 1 month since I tried to cut it off... stitches out 2 weeks ago, the scab is starting to lift a bit. Still some numb spots and others that are sensitive, The cut is healing good,it's gonna be a while before it feels like it used to.

  2. We left the house this morning to go for a ride, we stopped a the diner at the 4 way stop in Pumpkintown, SC. for some breakfast. While at the table a gentleman walks up asking who owned the Venture parked out front, I fessed up to owning it. He says "I used to own one, it was the most comfortable bike I ever owned. He then to my surprise asks who did your diamond cut fins, Mike? Yes I said, he then asks about Skid, I looked at him and asked how he knew all these names to which he replied I used to belong to a group called VentureRider! I said I still am.

So he says hello from Blue Mountain Jim, to all . Eh!

  3. Grab a room in Waynesville, NC. from there head south on NC 215, run it down to the BRP, make a right onto the parkway and run it back into Waynesville. Many nice forest, river and mountain vistas to stop and see. Spend another day or week doing a waterfall tour.

  4. Ride like you are invisible ! I never assume cross traffìc sees me. Weaving in your lane with all lights lit does increase your visibility to others.

    Condolences to the riders families.

  5. If I bring a tent, is it possible that I could pitch it on someone's site Wednesday night at the KOA? I'd only be the 1 night as I am heading to Gatlinburg on Friday.

  6. Where and when are the morning meetings to decide on the days ride? I live about 45 minutes or so from Ashville and would like to come up and join a day ride or two.

    Which KOA? East or west.

  7. Sheeeshhh!!! Try to take you guys for a real country tour and all I get is lip-flappin from you all. At least some riders got all the benefit and enjoyed the round-about and perfect scenery. It was a once in a life time opportunity, and yah missed out,,,,, tough titty said the kittie, but the milk tastes good.

But stick around, you just never know what the chef will come up with next!!!

We love having you lead the pack, no one else would have the foresight to take us through a cow pasture and 4 U-turns in one ride.

  9. I'm installing a new rear valve cover gasket, have the old gasket out and the sealing surfaces cleaned up. Last time I did this I used RTV silicone to seal the halfmoon area on each end of the head and after several years it was leaking again. Idon't have any RTV on Hand, but I do have a tube of Yamabond 4 semi drying liquid gasket, will the yamabond 4 work with the new rubber gasket?
