  1. Get a hold of Monty, he can scuba dive the pond and retrieve them for you!

I found another mystery clue, I was looking for my eyeglasses all over but just found a proof looks like they are on the bottom of the Loch Nelsons pond. I jumped in to pond with my eyeglasses on and getting out without. I guess Pond Monster need to read

    underwater.

  2. Almost made dry! Only the last 20 miles were in the rain. I hope everyone else has as good of luck and a safe ride home.

Thanks to Freebird and Ileen for hosting another great weekend of fun and food.

  4. Nice pics Jay - Keep em comi'n - Since I can't be there at least I can sit at home look at the pics and :crying: over the fact that I couldn't be there.

Had all my gear packed ready to go - new hides (E4's on front and rear rims) - [bTW Dunlop now makes An E4 for the front as well as the rear for 1st gens] - redid the front forks actually stole em from another bike and added progressive springs to em, also stolen, but from my old forks which Carl and I discovered were badly mutilated by who ever worked on them prior to when I got the bike, when we attempted to reseal them.

Oh yeah did I mention Carl spent the whole day helping me try to get the bike back on the road in time so I could make it to MD.

Any way as I was saying - got the bike together - packed up my gear - took the bike for a quick scoot around the block to make sure all was well, only to discover my 1st Gen is now equipped with ABS BRAKES and I do mean ANTI-LOCK , Yup no brakes or at least very little. Hand brake was real spongy and the rear wasn't feeling overly hard either, I have a suspicion that when the bike flipped off the table, I may have got air in the lines at least the front ones at anyway, since Carl did bleed the rear as we switch the caliper with one from the other bike. the other possibility is that because we swapped out the pads with another used set and since my rotors are a bit on the rough side that the pads may need to be seated in, May just get new Pads.

Any way despite my being [emoji23] with envy I hope you all have a great time, ride safe, No make that extra safe, and hopefully I will see most of you at some point through the summer. And keep the pics coming :crying:

Better to be home and safe than risk riding a bike that won't stop.

  6. Thanks brother,, I/we REALLY appreciate the offer!! At this time it appears that Vaz will be coming in sometime earlier in the week (Monday/Tuesday) so we can go explore those awesome roads in the upper regions our fine State.. Plan is to, like a couple of kids,, tote our tents and hit the State Land camping and/or behind dumpster camping (ooppss,, failed to mention that part of our planned expedition to Vaz :stickpoke::rotfl:) from here to Sault St. Marie and back.. That said,, Lord only knows if/when or even how we will get to getting to Dons BUT we are planning on it.. I know,, like you and a few other Michigan lop eared :witch_brew: varmints, I gotta be watching my back cause I done been there once (I actually got a P.M. from another one of my favorite Michigan brothers who has been there/done that and he said it best in his P.M. by saying "leave for Don's on Vacation and come home on Probation :rotf::rotfl::crackup:) and, like you, folks have those preconcieved ideas of us but neither Tip nor Vaz have been there so it really is VERY important to us to make it so folks can make their own call on those two ..

Meeting up Friday,,,, is a noon meet up to late in the day for you bro? I know it's 3 hours across state to your place so if we could get out of here by 9 (I would say earlier but WOWZY,, my poor old body cant handle the cold) we could see noon at The Motor City??

Also Jay,,, if any thing changes and we decide to go ahead and shoot over for a night in your campground,, what is the latest in the week that I can give ya a heads up without fear of Jeannie poking her Smith n Wesson .44 mag out the back door at us?

Gonna be fun,,, looking forward to hanging out with ya again brother!!

    Puc

Oh, by the way,,,, goes without saying,,, got lots of room over here for you and those other east siders to shoot over and ride upstate with us next week if any of ya's are interested... :happy34:

    Puc

If you let me know in the morning Thursday that would be plenty time to hide the ammo :happy34: If you want to meet up on Friday I'll wait for you, that would still leave enough time to set up camp before heading to QS&L for dinner Friday evening.

As far as coming your way, ain't gonna happen :crying: boat prepping and deliveries have me swamped this year, I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Things should slow down by the end of the month  been at it hot and heavy since the beginning of March. Looking forward to some downtime and Apple pie, maybe a bit of that Black Death too, but sure am gonna miss those famous Rum Balls from the SNOW Master!

  7. The way it's panning out, our trip south to MD is gonna be via the U.P. of Michigan with club member brother/friend VideoArizona being led astray,,, I mean being honorably shown some of Michigans finest in the process... Any lop eared Yooper varmints or Canuckians up that way wanna chance to say howdy to that mad manVaz in the process may wanna keep an eye on the water hole for a quick kodiac (not a typo Vaz,,, they do have bears up there :big-grin-emoticon:) moment...

We wont be crossing into Canada but hey,,, last time I checked,,, Canuckian land was still right there so thought it best to mention this...

    Are we there yet Vaz?

@cowpuc I'll be in Lewiston on Thursday to pick up a boat to haul back to the Detroit area on Thursday afternoon. If you Tippy and Mr Video need a place to camp Thursday night I'll cut the grass in my campground.
