  1. Probably Sonic Springs, I put the sonic 1.2 in my 01 RSV with 15 weight oil. Handles great now. When you do yours, pay attention to preload and sag while setting it up. The sonic Springs are a single rate spring unlike the Progressive spring which is a progressive rate spring. If you are having handling problems also do the neck and swing arm bearings while the bike is down. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  2. The J22 jacket has stiff zippers, gotta find how to clean them up without damage to the leather or liner before lubing them up. The goggles I got with this stuff Has the Brand "Rocket" stamped in them, I have to wonder if it's the same Rocket company that's in business today? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

  5. Thanks for that link but, NOT FOR SALE ! I will have the little bit of loose stitching repaired and this gear will be worn occasionally during special bike events. Almost makes me want to go out and find a period correct bike on which to wear this stuff. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

  7. Beard not me..., don't want to copy the Pucster ! While talking to some friends we got onto the subject of motorcycles (go figure) and she started talking about her grandfather, (she is in her 70's) riding motorcycles back when he served during WWI and WWII , she continued to tell me how he rode year around until a few years before he died in the early 60's. She has had these items ever since then, stored away and only taken out to show, clean and feed the leather! I gotta tell ya, it's all in excellent condition except for a few places where the thread has come loose. She then asked if I'd like to see them,,,, HELL yes I would! Today she brought them to my work to let me have a look, as she pulled out one item after another , me putting them on just as quickly, with a childish grin on my face , them looking and laughing, she said, if you want this stuff you can have it! Saying they were tired of moving it around. After about 10 hugs and twice as many THANK YOU'S I said to them I have something I'd like to give you in return. About 20 years ago I acquired some tools that I think Mike (Her Husband) would love to have. I had a complete set of Coopers tools from the late 1800's , everything needed to make Oak whisky barrels. Mike being a carpenter and already having a pretty nice collection of antique planes, I figured these would compliment his collection. We all walked away happy To top all this off they are going to bring me photos of grandpa wearing all this gear sitting on his Indian motorcycle. Can't wait to see those! :moon::moon::moon::moon:

  11. Darn Deer, they sure know how to ruin a good day. You are blessed to be able to tell us about it.
  12. I had such a lousy time last year that I'm going to bring my wife with me this year, she thoroughly enjoys watching me suffer ! I think this will be the 5th year in a row that I've punished myself, can't wait to do it again. OH, and yes Carl, I did call ahead and make reservations at the border station I'm hoping that will shorten my stay there by a little bit.
  13. Wasn't aware they were making an E4 now. I run a 155/80R-15 on the rear, S Speed Rating, 1,074 lbs. Max Load

  18. 2.30's- 2.40's in the Detroit area
  19. coat hanger with a hook bent into the end, you should be able to fish it out. It's probably in the side opposite the petcock.
  20. Thats what I use now, chemical resistant 12" rubber gloves with a pair of light fleece gloves inside to keep my hands from sweating in the rubber, never a wet hand with those.
  21. We have tourmaster rain gear and have been very happy with it, with the exception of their gloves, light rain no problem but get into heavy downpours and my hands get wet fast and if you take them off wet you'll never get your hands back in them.
  22. Was it on purpose or did the old guy get lost?
