  1. So I should check this with the key off and connector plugged in while the backlite is lit.?
  2. Fuse block under left cover, lite goes out when I pull the back up 10A fuse. When you say radio master box are you talking about the remote on the bars?
  3. I have removed it from all the connections. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  4. Here is what i have found happening, when I unplug the white connector while the control is lit it shuts off , when i plug it bak in it stays off, if I touch the starter button with the key on the controller lights up again and then has power even when the key is off. I have to run out but will follow your instructions when I can get back at it. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  5. When I disconnect the large white connector under the tank the light on the controller goes out. I cleaned all the connectors under tank, no difference. The radio is powered and will work with the key off.
  6. I did clean a few of the large connectors under the gas tank, I'll start by cleaning the di-electric grease off those. I didn't clean or touch any connections inside the fairing. Only under the tank and down by the stator plug. Everything else on the bike works as it should. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  7. I'll do it in the morning then report back. Thanks Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  8. I have read otherwise, but I'll clean them out and see what happens. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  9. Please see my post in second gen tech, titled "Problem after stator install". My audio controller back light is lit with the key off! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. All good questions Dan, like you I'm not very good with electrical either. All I can figure is a ground backfeed but where? I haven't a clue. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  11. I do have one strange thing going on now , with my key off the audio controller is off but the backlit buttons on the controller are lit up. I find no other strange things going on with the bike. I did clean all the plug connections and grounds I could find and coated them with di-electric grease. On 1st run after the new stator I have 13.7 at the battery while running at idle and 14.3 with it reved up. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  12. @Flyinfool I just happen to have the perfect length screws in my metric collection. I used Red loctite when I installed them, stator is securely installed and there is no interference by the hex head bolts. , I do have one strange thing going on now though, with my key off the audio controller is off but the backlit buttons on the controller are lit up. I find no other strange things going on with the bike. On 1st run after the new stator I have 13.7 at the battery while running at idle and 14.3 with it reved up.
  13. Fuel with ethanol is not classified as gasoline. I have started using ethanol free gas in all my small engines and they all run better than when I used E-15 fuel. Many small engine manufacturers will void Warranty service if problems are caused by ethanol. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. 10.2 is equal to a grade 8 . Got it almost back together and I'll find out tomorrow if i have any clearance issues. All in all not too hard a job, just lots to remove to do it. Again, thanks for the stator, I'll do my best to treat it well. [emoji106] Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  15. I have some bolts with a 10.9 hardness rating, do you think that would be good or are they going to be too hard and brittle?
  16. Better would be to get rid of that draconian SAFE act. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  17. I HAD some that were purchased at one of the big box stores, they had 1/4" perforations that worked ok till the Maple trees started dropping their little helicopter seeds that stood up in the perforations like little soldiers all along the gutters 😐 it was a HUGE pain in the a$$ , had to physically get up on the roof and pick them out 😠 Nothing on them now, i just get up there with the leaf blower. Speaking of which, i just bought a new Redmax 7500 and am looking forward to using it. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  18. JIS in my 35 year old impact driver , ya right. There's no clearance problems using hex head bolts? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Had to cut the head off to remove the stator [emoji22] Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. Well, I got the stator out today and it was visibly toasted. It did not come out without a fight though, 1 stator screw head stripped out even though I used my impact driver to remove them, so I need to buy new screws these are what I need,is there anything specialabout them that I couldn't just pick some up at a hardware store on bolt supply house ? Sure don't want to wait on some to be shipped to me if I can help it. We have a week of nice weather coming up and I would like to ride not wait for screws.
  21. You can't compare a HD touring bike stand to ours, they are completely different types a of stands. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

There is another in the fairing and may be in the lowers too. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  23. What about that darkside upgrade we talked about?
  24. Thanks Bob! That makes having to replace my dead backpak leaf blower a bit easier to take. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  25. Talked me into it bob, you got my address right? Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
