1. I also have scraped a few speed bumps over the years as well with the trike this is why I am interested, others made comments about the heat fins. So I am also wondering about that as well.
2. Great Job Larry ! Let me know what the cost is. I need to know how close to the metal hanging down thingy where folks attach the there center stand. remember I have the wife's foot peg bar attached there. where is the 3rd bolt ? Jeff
3. Correct, both 1 and 3 where dead. If I remember correctly I think I had a small spark. My plugs were wet and the pipes didn't get hot. Been about 4 years since this happened. I was just throwing this out to you just in case. I am almost sure you can not swap them out do the length of the coil wires, both sets a different. Like you say you swapped out the coil (with a used one purchased on eBay) and made no difference. so then I guess that is not the problem in your case. colortune is expensive and I never could get to see what was going on down there in the hole, its very hard to view the colortune in the chamber. Let me know how you did it if you get one. There maybe some members on this site that might loan you one. I can not remember who loaned me there's
4. My factory float levels were all over the place when I checked mine a few years ago, The other problem I had that coils 1 and 3 (both rears) stopped working and I ordered a few more sets off pinwall for about $29 each set of 4, so I have spares now, not sure why Yamaha Made the rears so exposed the the elements under the bike like that. So anyways when I changed them out all was good for me. Same symptoms as yours. Good lunch with what you find. Note:: both rears are cyl 1 and 3 And over the years goose figured out that it's really not the coil itself It's the wire that you can not change out, bench testing doesn't really seem To work that we'll from what I have noticed on these forums . Jeff
5. This was your pass problem.. I was wondering did you ever adjust the floats?

7. I have a 2000 Venture and when I got it , the inside of the tank was very rusty as it sat for 2 years in a barn. take a flashlight and look inside that tank good. was clogging the fuel filter real bad, had to re-seal the tank. just a thought. sea foam could not help that good luck ! Jeff

12. Is the Black knob with green light the main source on the Gerbing Dual Controller and the Grey (yellow light) is for the add on gear? or does it even matter what one you plug into I have just finished installing the Gerbing 12V Permanent Duel Temp Controller to the back side of the lower fairing. easy to reach. Now to sell my portable duel controllers not sure if I will need them Thanks for any input ! Jeff
13. Brian how do you tell how a brake Line feels ?
14. Is it my Imagination or does the Trike corner better with 16's on it ? Just came back from a short 30 mile ride to stir up the Ride-On and man I love the Kumho Tires. heck maybe its the wheels . My Michelins didn't have that much wear on them at all.
15. Only did a 30 mile ride just a while ago. To test the new tires and get the Ride-On stirred up. Tomorrow I will go for a longer ride I hope. But so far the EFM auto Clutch works perfectly on my Trike. I really enjoy it. so crazy not using the clutch lever.. more to follow!
16. pretty close, the 15's are 195/60 R15 , the 16's are 195/55 R16 so I think about a 1/4 inch taller ? Damn I am so glad this project is DONE Could not have done it right with out you guys Thanks! I am really glad I did it tho.
17. Forgot to mention that the wheels will hold a regular wheel weight no tape on strips. One wheel and tire took no weights , the other took 3 OZ.
18. Jay, No they are not Pitted at all. The Tires look brand new on the rims, (Michelins) all weather. they also have $40 worth of Ride-On in them as well. Make and Offer :-) I also want to see how these new ones work first tho. another thing to keep in mind is that the shipping would be outrageous .
19. OK so far I got the Wheels/Tires Mounted.. side note: FedEx dropped the tires off at the wrong addy.. that took a extra day to find them! Here are some photos of the 16 wheel with out the center cover on it . You also MUST get 8 more of this type lug nut shown in on of these photos. I think this looks far better then the polished alum wheels. now to send off the front for chrome this winter. I will take a few more when I finish them you tomorrow. it is a close fit, however the trike is still jacked up. OLD LOOK NEW LOOK NEW LUG TYPE
20. Thanks Larry , They do !! they are 4 but I thing there is 4 more in there. for a different hub. like a 4.5 have not taken the center cover off yet , there is a emblem that goes into the center as well. had them approved by Jim G.
