1. The last photo #4 is a super close up of the line in the bright sun light. otherwise you can not see it very well. it seems to dry pretty darn clear. Now wait 4 days to wax it.

5. About a year ago I bought a can of 3M paint Defender and I have been wanting to better protect the ( ROCK DING) area , in photo 2 I have about 100 rock dings on both sides total from the past 5 or 6 years of riding. the area shown is where the rocks hit all the time that I will spray. Anyways, I went ahead as the outside temp was in my favor and decided to do this project this morning. it was 65 degs. I also tried the clip on spray handle. Do NOT waste your money on it as I am only doing a small area and it works like crap. At the time of this post I still have 1.5 hours left until it dries Mask off for over spray , but there isn't much so maybe my mask was a little more then I needed. I did mask the tires with a roll of stretch wrap, that seems to work pretty well. I will post the final results this afternoon to what it looks like dry You are shooting for a ORANGE PEEL look when wet. # 1 Clean Off Crud # 2 -A close up of lots of ding already there touched up cant see from far aways maybe this coating will hide them more :-) # 3 -Tape , and more Tape # 4- More Tape and cover #5 - And more. 7. EFM, About 700 miles now. still loving it I have no desire to switch back. Hannigan Parking Brake, Just received a email from Hannigan , the parts have now arrived from there vendor , and I should have my kit in a week or so. Jeff
8. There is no more front end shake at 70 mph. Thanks Guys, This is a lesson learned. onto the next project ! Oh ,The Parking Brake is now in at Hannigan so that will be next. Jeff
9. Yes maybe, I am also betting it got washed off on the first mount. at lest the barcode was in there still. Thanks! Jeff
10. Thanks EARL yes, I was reading more into that like you said and if I had the rest if the equipment I would do just as you said , keep moving it to almost the point of no weight at all ! I just can not believe this mechanic did it this way . live and learn I guess. learned lots the past two days though
11. OK, I went from 60 grams down to 30 grams of wheel weight. I think now I am on the right track. Again , THANKS ! Jeff
12. OK guys, there was a barcode on the inside lip and it was at the opposite end of all those weights. Now to see how much it will take, looking so far like maybe 5 grams. will be back in a few. made all the diff in the world !!!! THANKS !
13. OK, I will run the tire down now and have it done right then check balance and report back. thanks !!! you guys rock
14. So we take the bar code and place it at the stem correct ?
15. Michelin Commander 2's from still reading on-line ,they have not had a DOT since 2006 on there tires. I might have seen the bar code your talking about. I will look on another one I have , thanks
16. From what I am seeing online searching the Mich II's do not have a dot anymore. not sure why. but thanks for the info. So anyways if there was one it is gone now . This is got me thinking that in the future I will be doing all this myself. I just can not believe how far off a dealer was when they did this.
17. Font shock air is perfect and I see NO DOT on the tire. looked on both sides.
18. Had to move the original weights over to the next spoke and add 10 more grams. now to see if this is the fix :-) .
19. I am posting this , cuz I have had a shimmy at 70 mph and this is what I found. I just wanted to know if you think that caused it. The tire will be rebalanced soon. This is what I found after a dealer mounted and balanced the tire. ( not good )
20. Correct,I should be able to stop it and it stays .
21. My front 404 cupped in 5K miles. I have a free one here !!
22. I left the old weight on the wheel. then rechecked it. and the pictures show the results. I have not had it re-balanced yet. I needed to know how far off it was. or if any at all. Tomorrow I will experiment more with how much was is on there and see how much I remove.
