Exedra Max vs Elite 3 tires
Mover replied to Mover's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Mike, What kind of mileage did you get from the Exedra Max? What tires are you running now? Thanks Mover -
We're planning a trip to Colorado for this summer with another couple. Our initial idea is to do some day trips from Steamboat Springs. Do you have some suggestions for sightseeing and riding in that area of the state? Thanks Mover

Who has run Exedra Max tires on their RSV and also Elite 3s and how would you compare them? I'm on my second set of Elite 3s and like them a lot but a friend just bought Exedra Max for his Goldwing. Were planning a trip together for this summer and my RSV will need new tires before hand. Thanks Mover

Oil Leak - Top of Left Rear Cylinder
Mover replied to TrainMaster's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
My '07 RSV now has this issue. Noticed in December that some oil has seeped out below the chrome cover on the left rear cylinder. -
Paint Touch Up
Mover replied to Leftcoaster's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Leftcoaster, Would you mind sharing the Canadian distributor contact info? My '07 RSV has a few stone chips. Thanks Mover -
I got out riding for a couple hours today. Pretty rare for December in Ontario. It was 10 Celsius but being dressed for the weather it was good. Only spotted one other bike though.

Yamaha Canada website now has the 2016 motorcycles showing. The Stratoliner, Roadliner and Road Star are not shown. No new Venture.

Stayed at the Rainbow Motel in Livingston MT back in 2007. Had individual cabins likely built in the 50s but never updated. Bathtub was child size and when you tried to take a shower the curtain wrapped around you. It is now our running joke regarding level of accommodations.

Fuel Tank Arithmetic (I HATE math with a passion!)
Mover replied to Semi-retired's topic in Watering Hole
A friend of mine with a RSTD likes to fill up as soon as the fuel gauge shows below 1/2. His reasoning is if he gets some bad gas then it's only a 1/2 tank of bad gas. If doing all day riding I usually fill up after the low fuel light comes on and by then my butt is ready for a change of position. I do pay more attention to fill up points though if riding in low population areas like Northern Ontario. -

I get from 275 to 300kms depending on backroad or freeway riding before the light comes on. Fillup afterwards averages 17 litres. Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk -
Is this a clutch adjustment issue?
Mover replied to Bert2006's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Skydoc's kit fixed my clutch slippage. -
I just got a Show Chrome Radiator Cover and the bottom bracket holes do not lineup with the bottom bolts that hold the radiator. Not even close. Also the instructions state the top brackets may have to be bent in order to line up with the top bolts that hold on the air cleaners. Think I just got hosed. Anyone have better success with this particular cover?

This flashing I've seen because I've used the BT Jr continuously for almost 5 years however what I'm experiencing is a extremely rapid flashing that has only started to occur recently. Thanks though.

Hi, I've had a Battery Tender Jr for about 5 years that the Venture is plugged into when not in use. Recently when first plugging into the electrical outlet the light will flash green very rapidly. That might last for about 10-15 seconds then it will slow back down to the usually alternating red and green until it goes to steady green. I checked the connections at the battery and they are tight. I haven't found any info on the Deltran website to indicate what this rapid green flashing might be so thought I'd ask here. Thanks

Try a search on YouTube for howtos on unlocking Moto E. To obtain a unlock code I've used this company Cellunlocker.net - #1 Unlock Codes for Network Cell Phone Unlocking once before. I'm not sure about the 'prepaid' part but an alternative is to buy an unlocked phone and the Moto E is available at Staples.

Windows 8.1 Internet Explorer images
Mover replied to Mover's topic in Computer help and tips for using this site.
Thanks, clicking Next, Next, etc. is working for me too. It's strange but at least there's a work around. -
I'm having an issue with the pop-up window with thumbnail images attached to posts. The pop-up is the one with the Last / Next buttons at the bottom. When the thumbnail image is clicked the window pops up but the image never loads. The pop-up blocker is turned Off. This is Internet Explorer on Windows 8.1. Has anyone else had this issue? Found a solution? Thanks

Shout out to SlowRollWv
Mover replied to Bert2006's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I also got the carb and twinkie covers from slowrollvw and had the same issue with the choke side carb cover. I put a plastic washer like those used with hockey helmet mask in behind the carb cover and it's just thick enough for the screw to tighten up fully. They definitely are well made and add to the look.
