There is a small leak on the front right of my RSV again which was supposed to have been fixed by a mechanic a couple of springs ago. I'm going to try the penny fix. Does anyone know the torque numbers for the bolts holding the fin on? Thanks Mover

I've had my RSV for 7 years and am very pleased with it's reliability. Mechanically the fuel pump had to be replaced and slipping clutch fixed (skydoc17 kit), that's it. Went on a 3 week, 9000 kms trip this summer and it performed flawlessly. After a couple of demo rides, my next bike at this point would be the Victory Cross Country Tour which addresses my biggest issue of top heaviness with the RSV. My wife likes the idea of the heated seats too. If Yamaha fixes the top heavy issue I'd seriously consider a 3rd gen Venture.

Is there a good place inside the fairing to ground the Bluetooth receiver?

Got new Dunlop Elite 3s put on the bike today. Old E3s had over 36,000 kms (22,500 mi.) and the front was down to the wear indicators but the rear was not. Much smoother in the curves now.

I'm not a tall guy but when I first got the RSV it bothered me that I had to look down to look in the mirrors but with time I was able to adjust the mirror positioning but still not 100% happy. Did not have that issue with my first two cruiser bikes. My OEM mirrors got pitted when we were caught in a storm in South Dakota at the end of June. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

In relationship to the position of the OEM mirrors, do the Magnum Plus mirrors sit up higher and out further?

Must be me then because I thought that in the last two pictures the mirrors looked like the Ellipse mirrors but in the earlier ones it looked like the Magnum mirrors. I reviewed the pictures you'd posted in the picture folder back in May to see how the Magnum mirrors looked on your bike. The last two pictures however seem to have a more oval shaped mirror. Am I just seeing things? Did you switch mirrors? Is there any vibration shown in the Kuryakyn mirrors? Thanks Mover

Dunlop is now showing the Elite 4 on their website http://www.dunlopmotorcycletires.com/tire-line/elite-4-2/ but the sizing is very limited. Hopefully that will improve soon. Mover

I did check the bolts for the valve covers as some had suggested but they were tight so no solution yet.

I noticed the same issue this past fall on my 07 RSV and it has just over 80,000 kms (50,000 mi).

I'm hoping that the CA $ improves before Americade but it's still going to hurt in the wallet. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
