  1. What!!!!??? No Beer? Fugitaboutit. I aint coming if threre aint no beer. Can't come this weekend anyway. Doc says Shirley cant ride for another week. Think I'll just stay here and drink.
  2. "Backfiring when throttle down - Carbs recently rebuilt, 3 tanks Premium gas with cleaner, still does it - is this normal?" These engines a designed to run on regular. I don't know if premium will make it backfire or not, but your not doing yourself any favors either.
  3. If a Harley is what you want, Hannigan makes a conversion for them too. http://www.hannigantrikes.com/products/harley-davidson-flh-hannigan-transformer/ Personally, I'd choose that over the TG. If you cant tell, I'm very impressed with Hannigan.
  4. I have never rode a TG so I can't confirm that the RSV/Hannigan is a better ride but can say the RSV/Hannigan is a VERY good ride and very stable. It handles the twisties like it's on rails. I have had a lot of cruisers give up chasing me through the mtns and I wasn't even trying hard. I did lift the right rear one day on a 90* turn. I was actually trying to raise it and it took some effort. This thing is an absolute blast to ride.
  5. Y uh huh! Fastest tricycle I ever rode. We're loving this thing.
  6. Not to mention, the sting from a honey bee is a lot more painful than the sting from an earth worm.
  7. If you were closer you could ride mine. I love this thing. If you liked the Harley I have no doubt you'll love the RSV with a Hannigan conversion.
  8. Yep! And when you get off, you can throw it in the tour pack or saddle bag. They dry rather quickly if they do get wet too.
  9. Sheep skins don't have to be big and funky. Alaska leather, and I'm sure other manufacturers, custom make them for different seats. That coupled with moisture wicking underwear keeps monkey but away here in the hot humid south.
  10. So my 50+ years on two wheels is negated by my need to move to 3 wheels, and I therefore no longer meet your definition as a rider? Just make sure you don't accept any help from any of us who are not worthy of your approval. Wave or don't wave. It makes no differance. But to exclude someone because they don't ride like you IS being a jerk. Me? I wave at everyone. Kids, Harleys, Spiders, Sportbikes, Cops, etc. Most wave, some don't.
  11. As far a lables, I just use round Avery lables. I put the name of the beer and the date bottled on the lable and put the lable on the cap. You print them with your computr and printer.
  12. You must have a big back yard!
  13. I've been brewing for about 4 years now. I love IPA's so thats what I make. I would suggest you wait more like 2 weeks before moving your beer to secondary fermentor to make sure fermentation is finished. Make sure fermentation is done by taking several gravity readings over several days. The seconday is just for clearing up the beer, not finish fermenting. Many say moving the beer to a secondary fermentor is not nessasary. I move mine. Feel free to contact me with any questions. More than you ever wanted to know about home brewing here. http://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum.php Most importantly DWHAHB. "Dont Worry Have A Home Brew"
  14. I believe it was 1975 that the feds made them change. Maybe 74.
  15. Thanks Lewis. We just regesterd. We'll be there Friday around 3 or 4.
  16. Nice find. The BSA 650 lighting was one of my dream bikes. I'm not sure I could get accustomed to the shifter on right, brake on left at this stage of the game.
  17. Thats the way Asheville is set up and thats the way I prefer it. The last couple of years have been very trying on us and I just don't have an extra $100 laying around to regester me and the wife, don't want or need any t-shirts, patches or door prizes. we prefer to feed ourselfs and already give plenty to St. Judes. A quick check of some posts proves we're not alone with a challenging recent past. We're only a little over an hour from Vogel and would love to expand the list of friend's that I have already made here but have to be careful how I spend. I hope this doesn't come across a crass or rude. It's not intended to.
  18. Alcohol, lot's of alcohol.
  19. I agree with all of the above however, I still don't like rideing or driveing on them. I'm not affraid of them. I just got sick of them when I was an over the road trucker. After a while they all look the same. I'll ride them but only when I'm in a hurry.
  20. I have no expieriance with the Voyager kit. But if you can scrape the coins together, the Hannigan kit is the bomb. It's a full conversion rather than a bolt on like the Voyager. If you were closer, I'd let you take mine for a spin. I'm sure your mind would be made up. Hannigan is well known for putting out quality products and standing behind them with exelent customer service.
  21. I can't help you get to the BRP & Skyline drive but can tell you, your gona love them. And I'm stealing "ick-spressway" from you LOL. That describes how I feel about them perfectly.
  22. Well that sucks, but at least it missed the house. I think I would cut the tree rather than try jacking it up. I see a great possability of things going wrong doing that.
  23. I prefer to look over the shield so I cut mine down. Even if you get rid of the scratches, the very first big bug will hit directly in your line of site. I've been useing the Silver Star bulbs for years. Much improvement over stock.
  24. Best of luck. Your in our prayers.
