    Lights

Hi again. While removing the light bar I found the 2 blue wires for the "parking lights" were pinched. Fine now. Thanks for the suggestions!

Hello. When I started to ride my 09 RSV this year I am having trouble with the headlight fuse blowing. Sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 15. I have had the fairing off 3 times looking for bare wires. I thought maybe something with the running light but does it on low beam with them off. What gets me is that it was fine when I quit last year. Figured mice but nothing chewed. Starts fine so don't mthink it is battery. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks
  3. Hi again. I googled the name on the unit and found out it is a speed adjuster for electonic speedometers. If it isn't factory then I have no idea why it is on the bike! Here is the link. http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=238/category_id=-1/mode=prod/prd238.htm
  4. Tried that..nothing happened..no "BOOM" Guess I should email dealer. Thanks for the guesses
  5. I will try a picture. The bike was bought new by me already triked. It looks to be wired into the bikes wiring. I guess I wasn't crazy after all!
  6. I have what is probably a silly question but here goes. When I removed the side cover on my 09 RSV to replace a fuse I found a little pad with 2 buttons laying on top of the fuse box. Has an Up button and Down button. What is this for? Maybe something I no longer have as it is converted to a trike. Thanks
  7. Thanks for the comments. The bike has a Tri-wing kit that was dealer installed 4 years ago. This is the first issue with the trike..love it. Thanks
  8. Hello. I have a 09 RSV with a trike kit. I recently noticed than when going down the road my handlebars seem to be pointed a bit toward the shoulder of the road. Kind of forgot about it and now one side of the tire is scuffing. Haven't hit anything with it..except maybe a pothole. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. I have an 09 RSV. During the Ride For Dad yesterday I noticed a vibration start. At first I thought is was road condition or a tire. As the ride progressed the bike was "clunking" going into gear, especially 4th and 5th. It got worse and started to hear a chatter when gearing down. Not sure how long the chatter was there..when riding with a group of Harley it is hard to hear much!.Also feels rough when under load going down hill. It will slip back to a lower gear under load also.Taking it to the dealer when I can get in. There is only 7000k on it so should be warranty. Any idea of what to expect? Thanks
  10. Does anyone use the electronic deer whistles on their bike? If so any recommendations? Thanks
  11. My son lives in Kitchener and commutes daily to Cambridge also. He has lots of stories about the driving on that stretch of road. Glad it worked out for you.

New to the forum..been a guest for awhile..joined today. Here is my "baby" It is a 2009 RSV with a Tri-Wing kit, Steerite steering kit, and Carbon-One passenger rests. Had to put something on for GF..she kept falling asleep! I haven't rode in 25 years due to balance issues from a spinal cord injury.Got the itch again when I started seeing trikes. Got a great deal on this one..was a new 09 that hadn't sold..then he triked it and put it on sale when fall came..great for me! Not a lot of triked RSV around.New to Yamaha..but will have to say it is a step up from my last bike,,a 1977 honda 750! Dean
  13. Hi again .I got the intercome working..as was mentioned..I had the volume too low! Sorry forgot to go back in and check the post. Chatterbox is the brand of headset I bought. Thanks for all the help:cool10:
  14. Thanks for all the response! I didn't realize it was voice activated..all the other stuff I have done. Thanks
  15. Hi all..new to the forum.I have a 09 Venture trike that I bought last fall.I have just got around to getting a set of Chatterbox headsets.I have the radio and cb working thru them . Now the newbie question. In order to use the intercom feature do I talk on a CB channel or is there a seperate setting for intercom? The book is useless in this regard. When I push the talk switch nothing happens unless I am in the CB setting. Thanks Dean:)
