  1. ...and just how many Florida drivers own a Prius???
  2. Ehh, still an expensive alternative to AAA membership and a cell phone...
  3. I agree RR except the Odessey now costs twice as much as it used to, around $200 as opposed to the Deka being around $100 and just as good...
  4. Yah! The pothole population around here is a bumper crop this year!!
  5. OK if we are going to stereotype here (no, I do not own or drive a Prius) then why is it all Harley riders insist on obnoxiously loud exhaust systems?? Their theory is flawed, they allow deaf people to have drivers licences but they don't allow blind people to have one, so I would rather be seen and not heard! Barrycuda, are the Que tips getting to you down there??
  6. Deka AGM. Earl, skydoc_17 is a distributer here and will give you a very good price delivered...

    Why?

To get to the other side, that's why...
  8. Thanks! I'll post it on Trike Talk... A real shame! It says they hit the center median.
  9. Ehhh, names just sort of happen! My 09 is Sexi 2 Timer. When we bought it a bunch of us were setting around a table at a M&E and we were discussing what to name it. Someone mentioned Two Timer because it was our second Venture, and it is a second generation Venture. Just about that same time someone walked by and admiring the bike said "That sure looks Sexy!" So Sexi 2 Timer was born...
  10. Do you have a link to the story Bert?
  11. Also, after the seafoam treatment you may very well want to change the plugs. NGK seems to work well, and the Iridium ones are worth the money as they will last longer than the regular ones. Remember that these engines like higher RPM's. Don't be afraid to "blow the carbon out" on these engines. There is a rev limiter on the RSV so don't fear the red line...
  12. Yup!! I agree with everyone!! Pour a can of Seafoam in the tank, start it and run it for a while like you stole it and let it soak overnight. Try again the following day. Worst case scenario you drain the tank and "Cream" it, and rebuild the carbs and reset them up. Fuel filter change is not a bad idea but do a search on the subject of relocating the filter, it's a real PITA to get to! With waaaay less than 1000 miles per year, the poor bike is SCREAMING to be ridden!! These bikes ain't broken in until around 100,000 miles...
  13. Come on folks!!! Only 47 more to go...
  14. Yah! Becky wanted one of those Solstaces when they came out. I liked the Saturn Sky a little better but purely looks. I'm sure you will really enjoy it!!
  15. ...and back to colder weather and more snow next week!
  16. Photoshop! I'm with Dan on this!
  17. Well, if you have it down that far, you may as well go all the way and pull the engine, split the casing, and do all 4 cylinders. While it's apart, do the 2nd gear fix if it hasn't already been done. The 83, 84 and early 85 had a 2nd gear issue whereas it will pop out of gear under hard acceleration. Now if you really want a quick 1st gen, get yourself a set of 1200 VMax heads and cams, they pretty much bolt right on...
  18. Wow!! That is one oddball problem! Never heard of that one before. Good find!!
  19. Yes, I have a couple of sets and highly recommend them, especially the carb ones!! Hey, anybody that has a complete VMax engine just for bench testing and setup is OK in my book!
  20. I've had a few of them. Some I kept trimmed, another I let nature do it's thing, etc. Did Gotee's, mutten chops, and a few others. Haven't had one for about 20 years now...
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Skidster!!!!
  22. Ya done good raising a good man!!!
  23. I would ride it...
  24. I used to tape a spring to the wall near the door for the same reason...
