It may be something as simple as the connector for the sensor being corroded or loose. The connector is under the ignition switch cover on the gas tank. You remove it with the two allen head screws on the cover. Squeeze the connector interlock to disconnect and spray it with contact cleaner then connect and disconnect it several times to reseat it...

Putting Vmax heads on a 1300 is considered an upgrade to the VMax crowd...

Finally back in honolulu after the cruise. 3 more days in paradise left!! Forgot to log off of the internet on the ship so all my minutes got ate up! Tonight we are meeting up with a Venturerider for dinner, only one of 2 total for the state of Hawaii!!

Aloha!! Here we are in Maui enjoying the day! Finally hooked up an internet connection on the cruise ship. I will resize a couple of pictures soon. Just before the cruise I tripped and fell in our hotel room and bruised my knee. It isn't affecting my walking but it is all swollen up and colorful! We leave Maui tonight and next stop Hilo...

Today is the day! This afternoon we are off to a hotel at the airport to catch our flight to Hawaii tomorrow morning! We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary on the 7th! We have made arrangements to meet up with the only venturerider member in Ohau and only one of two members for all the islands after we get back from our 8 day cruise. I'll be checking in daily with the events of the day. The big worry is we are suppose to fly into Chicago from Buffalo to transfer flights...

Having had both I would say "Sure" if that's what you want! Both 1st and 2nd gen's have their pros and cons. The 2nd gen is more comfortable and being newer, more reliable but the 1st gen handles better and is quicker. The 1st gen was light years ahead of it's time!

IMHO there is no such thing as a good used TCI these days. They are far and few between on Fleabay and go for $100 on up and still are used TCI's with no guarantee! Buy one of those Ignitech modules member Dingy sells instead! The good news is any TCI from '84 to '89 will work if you still want to go the used route. You really need to find the drop from the main fuse to the system fuses. The issue could be the ignition switch or possibly the kill switch...

Replace your railings with plastic and then they will be maintenance free...
