  1. By any chance was the regulator a cheap Chinese regulator? They are a waste of money. You should check your stator for a short to ground. I kind of doubt the ignition switch is the culprit...
  2. Hi Scott, how's it been??
  3. But Puc, there's a really neat snowmobile I want you to see...
  4. Sorry to hear that! We had a really bad winter and they are still trying to get the damage fixed. Enjoy the Falls, the view is better in Canada but the food and lodging is more expensive. Just remembered, you don't have your passport yet...
  5. Give a call when you get in the area, my home number is in my profile...
  6. As far as adjustment goes, the air suspension (CLASS) is the only adjustment for stiffness of the front springs, but with new progressives you probably won't need them any stiffer. Of course how much you preload them with spacers will make a difference! Welcome aboard!
  7. We just got home safe and sound and waiting for the end of the week!! We had a SUPER time!!!
  8. So far so good here, we're having a really good time and haven;t got rained on yet. We attribute that to having our rain gear on aheads of time! Did a covered bridge run yesterday by ourselves and had fun!
  9. Make sure you hone the cylinder when you rebuild, the issue with leakage is corrosion in the cylinder. Actually you would have been better served replacing the whole slave unit as they do not cost that much, and a lot of times rebuilding doesn't last long. Any older bike will develop issues regardless of the make...
  10. Nice and safe and dry in the Hampton Inn Owega. The hotel is right on the bank of a river, the Chemong maybe?? Only rode 2 1/2 hrs today...
  11. A full can in a half tank may be a bit strong. Normal dose is 1/2 can to full tank but you can do full can to full tank with no issues...
  12. You have a hydraulic clutch slave, there is no adjustment for the friction point. Your slave is probably starting to leak, or the fluid needs to be flushed, or both...
  13. This time we're off to West Dover VT for a Trike Talk Rally. There will also be a few Ventureriders there, Leo3wheel, Jonsey, Steamer with Rockin Robin, and ourselves! Tonight's stop is in Binghamton NY...
  14. I pulled an ECK the other day and forgot to take my wallet out of my pants when throwing them into the washer...
  15. First B2 Dad and now you?? Should I be looking for a 2 seater too?? I think not, not for several years...
  16. Some credit cards do NOT charge an exchange fee for foreign transactions, some do! Discover "IT" does not!
  17. There is also a spacer required on the axle for proper spacing both models...
  18. IMHO the 1st Generation Venture was one of the greatest touring bikes ever designed and light years ahead of the competition! You have done great on your restoration now get out there and put a hundred thousand miles or so on it!!!!!
  19. We both have silver N102's and love them! Had HJC before that and thought the Nolan's were waaaay better!!!
  20. OK! Yes, my birthday was a great one! No special plans, we had lunch with another couple after church and they treated. Had to drop the Malibu off for service, so step daughter picked me up from the dealer and brought me home, and we were joined by the other step daughter and we had steaks on the grill for dinner. What made the day was all the greetings I got both here and on Facebook!!!!!
  21. The rear brakes were the sore spot for my conversion IMHO. I was not impressed with them and when I ended up with metal on metal in less than a thousand miles I was less than happy but they replaced them no questions asked. So, what I did was replaced my master cylinder with a Wilwood 13/16" master cylinder that I ground off the mounting ears to make it as thin as possible and made up a plate to mount it to and modified the stock brake pedal mount to mount the plate and cylinder to, and then installed stock Honda CRX calipers and rotors along with SS lines and now I have plenty of stopping power with minimal effort which is to be expected with more than double the contact area. I used EBC slotted and cross drilled rotors as well. I'm a happy camper in the brake department but still need to install my 14mm master cylinder, ss lines, and R1 calipers in the front...
  22. If you can find the newer pillow top stock seats you may notice they are a lot more comfortable but have the Butt Butler mod done on it. Ditto on the XL but buy the F4, slightly better IMHO. Which lower wind deflectors are you referring to? the ones on each side of the fender (stock) or the aftermarket ones on the side of the lower fairing? Try a smaller tire on the front, it may give you the results you are looking for. Being a little vertically challenged, I went with 1 1/2" risers and the Flanders bar...
  23. SWEET!!! Now let's ride together some time!!!
  24. OK I will respond again tomorrow, today I am sooo overwhelmed by all the great responses both on Facebook and here!!! I love you all, I'm speechless!!!
  25. Are you sure it's a Beemer and not a Harley? It looks like it pee'd on the floor...
