You bet Rick. Just let me know what kind of accomadations you're after. We have tent space here, also floor space if you have an air mattress, and there are motels in two different towns about 10 miles away. Later, Scooter Bob

No bike visible here either. But those mounds look way better than the ones I found in Colorado. Later, Scooter Bob The current target is... You, Your bike and a beach. by etcswjoe

Glad I watched this hail come down from the house today, instead of while out ridin' yesterday! Later, Scooter Bob

What was the drip, oil or fuel? I thought at least one of those hoses was crankcase breather, and will push a little oil mist onto the kickstand when running hard, or if the oil level is a bit on the high side. Just my , Scooter Bob

Ok, I'm back from vacation, time to start getting ready for this. I'm going to pick up some steel, and try out my new auto-darkening welding helmet I picked on the way to Flyin'fools M&E a few weeks ago and make a lift adapter or two. I also want to get the new bar area built in the garage, and need to do a lot of cleaning and straitening as well. Harbor Freight doesn't sell the bike tire changers anymore, but I do have a friend a few miles down the road with one. If anyone wants to do tires, let me know, and I'll see what we can work out. May just have to pull rims, throw them in the truck and take them down there, if I haven't got my own by then. Later, Scooter Bob

Thanks Tom, We'll keep that in mind cus I really would like to get Karen down there sometime and spend a few days. Later, Scooter Bob

Had to ship the laundry home so I had room to haul the trinkets I picked up along the way. Got her a T-shirt from Luckenbach with a cowboy and horse on it:scratchchin:, and I already posted the tumbleweed pic. Picked up a few T's for the grandkids too. And Jocelyn is wearing one of them already today. Later, Scooter Bob

Not a one this trip.

From there, it was another battle of the WIND all the way to Bryan and Lisa's in Oskoloosa, Iowa. I think I won the battle, cus I never got blown clear out of my lane, but it was close a few times. Bryan met me at a gas station about ten miles South of town and led the rest of the way to Oskoloosa. Thanks for the Beer, Bryan. Just over 3,700 miles for the trip when I parked for the night. Here's Amelia Earheart's birthplace... More to follow, Scooter Bob

Left out of Abilene, KS and headed to Topeka. From there I took hiway 4 Northeast to Atchinson, KS. Boy, the things you find when you get off the big road. Atchinson is the birthplace of Amelia Earheart, so I headed to see that, and find a little train museum on the way. More to follow, Scooter Bob

I'm not positive on the timing, but I think RedRider from Fond du Lac, WI might be there. He was going to ride out on Friday (a couple days ago) heading for NM to meet his brother from TX and ride to California. At some point, he was gonna have a burger at Alice's Restaurant in San Fransisco(I think) and then have a Moonshine burger within 2 days (I think that was the plan). Is that rally for long distance riders? Later, Scooter Bob

And now Gizmo is checkin' out all the smells the scoot has picked up over the last 4k miles. Later, Scooter Bob

Thanks Kreg! Looks like this little girl is glad I'm back. What do you think? Later, Scooter Bob

Home! Had to do a little zig zagging near the end to get the Garmin trip meter over 4,000 miles, the RSV was about 83 miles ahead. The bike had 4K when I stopped at Eagle Eye's place for a quick vist. More pics tomorrow from the Friday ride. Later, Scooter Bob

140 miles to go! Later, Scooter Bob

Yes, had a great time last night and this morning. Thanks for the use of the couch, and thanks for the coffee this morning! Having breakfast at exit 201 on I80, and Garmin says about 260 miles left. Almost home honey! Later, Scooter Bob

Just about time to get back in the saddle again... Gonna head east from Abilene to Topeka and see if the screen door's a bangin' and the wash needs a hangin'. Then head Northeast on hiway 4 (cus you know I hate big city traffic, KC was in the way) and then across the MO border on 116 over to I35, and then North to Oskaloosa, Iowa. Gonna get a room, and meet up with Bryan52577 for supper and some beers and Bs'n. So if I don't make it on here tonight, you'll know why. Later, Scooter Bob

So what do you think, did I get my money's worth out of these pads?
Scooter Bob replied to LilBeaver's topic in Watering Hole
What V7Goose said about the rear, down to metal in 10k-12k on factory pads is right on. Since then I have been using EBC pads, not sure the grade, but they cost about $30, and I just put a new set on every time I change the rear tire (about 16k) and they always have some meat on them, but not much. I too, must be a heavier than some user of the back brakes. I still have the original Yammy pads up front, with almost 81,000 on them now. For that kind of life, I think I will pay whatever Momma Yamma wants for another set. Ya, they've been out a couple times to grease up the back sides for the squeal issue, but that's it. Spotted a Midnite riding with two HDs, heading North out of Las Vegas, NM on Thursday morning, March 30 while I was loading all my stuff on mine for the day at the Super 8. Later, Scooter Bob

I ended up deciding to kill my time riding around in the mountains, instead sitting at the Hooters. They'll be plenty of other days for that. But, I did find these on my tour, see pic below. Later, Scooter Bob You, Your bike and 2 Hooters Girls in front of the bar. Bonus points if she's on the bike with you The bonus will get ya either an or a When we cross paths. by Ragtop69GS

Ya, it's all good now. But it was noticably weaker yesterday in the hills.

Anybody got any left side rubber they want to sell??? Wind out of the Northwest, pushing me along a little, but mostly sideways, all day long, 450 miles worth. But some magic ferries or something must have been wrenchin' on the scoot last night and freshened up that top end, cus it sure is running sweet here in Kansas again. Parked for the night in Abilene, KS, right off I70, just over 3,300 miles so far. I saw more oil wells here in KS than I did in TX, and most of them were actually pumping. Wish I could have gotten in this museum I found:banana:, but again, I guess I beat the tourist season. Later, Scooter Bob

After the Gorge trip, I had to haul butt to Big Roy's east of Colorado Springs. He used to live in WI, and I hadn't seen him for about 5 years. Drank beer and BS'd for hours. This is what he gets to look at in the morning out his dining room window. I had 2,850 miles on the trip when I got to Roy's. I thought I might have to head to Billings, MT this morning, but that issue got resolved (sort of), so I headed east for home this morning. Later, Scooter Bob
