1. I have the JVC Addixion and it has been a solid performer itself, 1080 P wireless to my phone, Waterproof enough for snorkeling and uses a standard mount that you can find almost anywhere. But get the 2nd gen. Because just like the Venture, 2nd gens always are better than 1st gens:no-no-no:
2. ZOINKS, It looks like you met up with Scooby Do with the Mystery machine in the pictures
3. I have chatterboxes on my wife and I's full coverage and they are almost comparable with the low end J&M, but I haven't had them a full year yet, so durability might be an issue. I have this one in one of my openfaces and absolutely love it though. Made by Show Chrome on chromeworlds website http://www.chromeworld.com/1995-goldwing-gl1500-aspencade-parts/headset-and-audio/show-chrome-helmet-headset-13-201, they are $65-85 on fleabay too, under showchrome
4. I think this trailer has met more VentureRiders than most of us
5. I depends on what model Nuvi you have. If you have one capable of bluetooth then there should be 2 inputs on it. One goes to the mic input that comes with the BuddyRich cable and the other goes to the speaker output like a pair of earbuds would. That connection should be routed into a splitter, (if I remember right that goes into the back of your cassette deck or CD changer) BuddyRich could answer better than I, but my memory is usually accurate 30-50% of the time.
6. Here is a picture after I transferred it to my truck
7. In order for this to make sense, I have to begin this travelog with some background info. In January I broke my Humerus (Shoulder) helping to push start a Honda Shadow, ( Picture running too fast and can't stop). Because of that, my wife did not trailer my bike up to Utah. She left 3 weeks before I was to fly in. I had promised UTAdventure that would haul the trailer that Aussie Annie and Allen had used, back to Texas for Squidley when we met for dinner for another motorcycle group that we jointly belong to (Temple Riders Assn). When we hooked it up to the Envoy, the hitch was a little high and I worried that the rear end would drag if we hit some bumps, and no sign of it in the rearview mirrors. I could have bought a drop down hitch, but that wouldn't have solved the mirror issue. We then discovered something new. You CAN fit a tagalong motorcycle into the back of an SUV. It traveled nicely and we just put some of the luggage inside it to make up for the loss of space. We met a fellow Venture Rider (Non member, Blue RSV) from Washington headed for Los Alamos. I invited him to check out the website and encouraged him to use the membership if he needed roadside assistance. We arrived in one piece and now have it in the back of the truck for its final trip to Houston, (or maybe Leakey). I have to work for a half day next Saturday so we hope to get up to see the crew either Friday evening or Saturday afternoon. If this trailer could talk, it would have some of the most interesting stories.
8. My hats off to you. On the rodeo circuit, they have a day dedicated to breast cancer awareness. If a bull rider can pull it off, why not us
9. my wife couldn't stop laughing either, when i explained it to her
10. the humerous is the large arm bone attached to your shoulder socket
11. Ok on Sunday I was going to an earlier meeting at our church, and since it was a beautiful day, decided to ride the bike so that my wife could bring her car later. My son had the same idea. He got his bike out and the battery was dead. Since our driveway is sloped,I said no problem, I will give you a push. So picture me in a suit with my leather jacket and boots pushing him down the driveway. The bike starts immediately and I go face first into the curb across the street. A trip to the ER confirms that I have broken the humerous bone off and messed the face up again. All my coworkers at the hospital tell me to stop riding. I said I wasn't riding I was pushing:sick:
12. Got the JVC Adixxion (stupid name) for Christmas and if I had it yesterday, would have filmed our legion riders homecoming for my buddy. I plan on using it a lot, but as you say, will the newness wear off and sit in the closet?
13. OK the back story, My friend Jeff Blackwell has been deployed to Afghanistan, and his kids thought that he wouldn't be back until next month, but he redeployed to Ft Bliss on Sunday. His wife made up a story about having to travel for work and went up and picked him up. They asked if he could use my house to change into a Santa suit to surprise his kids. While they were still traveling, I texted them and asked if Jeff would like to ride in on the back of my bike, (it's red) and that way they wouldn't recognize our envoy when he arrived. Since I belong to the American Legion, and one of the Legion Riders club here in town lives a few doors down from them, we decided to do it right. BTW the Deer antlers and nose added a perfect touch. http://www.kens5.com/news/Santa-delivers-perfect-surprise-for-kids-of-San-Antonio-soldier-237199321.html
14. Very Nice, We had someone with a side car at the Leaky Tx rally last year, don't remember who it was but if I remember right, he had his mother-in-law in the side car.
15. A 75 y/o man calls his son and tells him that his mom and him are getting divorced " I have put up with that woman for over 50 years now and I am tired of listening to her nag." " Call your sister and let her know". The son is very shaken and quickly calls his sister. " They can't do this" says the sister, and quickly calls her dad back. " Do not do anything until we get there, we are on our way". The father hangs up the phone and says to his wife " well they are all coming for Christmas, and they are paying for their plane tickets":no-no-no:
16. Quote: "I make a cable that plugs into your Mic in on the Garmin or its mount. If your garmin has that then my cable will allow you to just answer the phone and start talking. As long as you have a headset installed that is. Which most of us do. But I think a few have already endorsed my cable in the other thread. " The best I have found "the BuddyRich Cable":goodpost:

18. My son has a 98 Shadow 1100, with the bags on, the turn signals were almost covered. No problem...Dad to the rescue. I ordered LED turn signals from Fleabay and then drilled the fender to place them further back. Fronts went great except blinking was rapid. Wired the rears and NOTHING. I was told by a friend that it needs an electronic flasher because LEDs has less load on them, so no resistance. Anybody have experience with this. The flasher is in the frame under the fuel tank, so I didn't want to tear it down until I had further guidance. 3 wires BTW.
19. Depends on the color...........if it's black deduct $1000
