  3. Hi all, This from an email I received from Laura with this update... Craig will have an angoplasty Wednesday about noon. His left artery is 100% blocked. Lucky for him he got to the hospital when he was having intense indigestion. The doctor said he may be home by Friday. Were so lucky that we live in a time and country that all this is possible! Ya OHIP. Think good thoughts Wednesday at noon. Thank you all I will be telling Craig you all have reached out to him. Laura Green
  4. Surgery is today in Scarborough Centenary hospital. Laura is staying home as she is ill and does not want to complicate things more for Craig. I will pass on all news and prayers from evveryone. If I can copy these notes, I will get them to him.

  6. Thanks for all the comments. But the Diamond R are NOT what I saw and what I sketched in the attached file. However, having said that, the Diamond R pegs are the only ones I have been able to find so far. There is nothing like either product in Kuryakyn, GP Bike, nor J & B... Just have to keep looking.
  7. Hi all, I'm looking for some passenger highway pegs we saw on a very tall gent's Venture this summer. Problem is, we can't remember when we saw him & his bike, or on which ride it was on. I believe it may have been on the "Just Another Road Terip" memorial ride in the Picton, ON area last July. I have attached a sketch I made of the style for the pegs as I remember them. The are NOT the Diamond R set. If anyone knows who this person is or where this style of pegs is available, please let me know. Thanks. Bruno G "The Hat"

  9. My wife and I were Charter Members of a GWRRA club here in Canada. At first most of it was great! Good people lots of rides. Then we started noticing that it was always costing us money. Buy these crests, buy these same colored shirts (can you say uniform), buy this, buy that, buy this meal. The rides were also starting to cost. Food gas & accomodations. Then there was the safety aspect and training (which was a great learning tool for riding in groups). Once we were told we all had to back our bikes into the parking area and turn our front wheels to the left so they all face the same way and look great...that's when I had enough. The leader of the club also had a problem with someone that came for coffee where 2 groups met. He came to be with one group and was told he couldn't ride with the GWRRA group because he didn't have a Goldwing. I almost lost it. However, I must say that not all groups are like that. Only the one we were with. That group is now all but gone.
  10. Wife & I have never been. Now with our "new" (1 year with us) 2003 Midnight Venture and matching trailer, we are heading there Friday morning from our place in Canada. Looking forward to this adventure. Have seen many videos & pics. Normally I don't trust any previews of someplace, that way I don't get disappointed, but this ride has been long anticipated. WooooHoooooo! Going riding!! See you out there...
  11. Hey Joe, I know exactly how you feel. I STILL have my 85 Goldwing Interstate. It has a wiring problem that developed in spring of 2007. I tried to find what the problem was and after a year without my bike, I eventually gave up. Last spring 2008 we bought our 2003 Midnight Special. What a great bike! However, I placed my Goldwing on a local website called Kijiji which has free advertising. I started with a price of $1750 CND, which I soon lowered to $1500. In my advert, I mentioned the wiring problem and explained on the phone that the bike will start and run 10 to 20 minutes before the 4 cyinders cut down to 2. After the bike (& wires) cooled down, it would start up again on all 4. You would be AMAZED how many guys showed up and expected to pay me only $1000 CND and wanted to put the key into it and drive it home!!! Well, I will try again in the spring, but if it doesn't go by May, I will sell it in parts and for parts. By the way, I live in Central Ontario. Bruno
