  1. If I thought I had to add another wife....it would be DRINK.
  2. Even with no rain, I seem to get wet when you are around.
  3. LOL.....that does cause one to stop and think...

I was also going to suggest Tractor Supply. They have just the tires or the tires on 4 lug and 5 lug rims. Check them out at http://www.tractorsupply.com You could always order them online from them.
  5. For those of you who have never been to my Maintenance Day, you may not know the situation on the weather. Don't worry about rain. I don't allow rain at my house on Maintenance Day so you have no reason to worry about that. Now coming and going is YOUR problem. I don't want to show off.
  6. Doing the carb sync is very simple so it would certainly not hurt to check them but to be honest, changing the mufflers should have no affect on the carb sync.
  7. Geezzz..........I need to come up with some type of "NEGATIVE" award for these people.
  8. Here you go. Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA 6555 Katella Avenue Cypress, CA 90630 Customer Relations (800) 962-7926 That is from an old post but I think should still be good. Now do NOT pay that kind of money for a fuel pump. Try to get them to warranty it but if they won't, there are automotive pumps that work just fine. Several here have done it. You can get by for under $100.00. Try to get it warrantied first though. __________________
  9. It is not restricted. Your brother in law is more than happy to join you. There is a BBQ lunch catered on Saturday and there is a donation can if you wish to help with expenses. The maintenance is "members helping members". There is no charge at all. You are expected to help out to the best of your ability and not just sit back and expect things done for you. It will take me or somebody else about 10 minutes to sync those carbs though.
  10. I was posting about it the same time that you did. I deleted mine. I actually don't think it's a bad idea.
  11. From what I have read, it will be "Shall Issue". I would be very surprised if they reciprocate though.
  12. It doesn't matter to me but wouldn't it be easier to just put it in the auctions area of the classifieds? http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=20
  13. Sorry Ken, I have no 2X left. I have an XL and a 3X if either of those will work for you.
  14. Yes, they were ordered and I still have some. See this thread for ordering info. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17406
  15. OK folks. Everybody who has asked for a shirt up to this point is now covered. That includes RiderDuke and JRichard. I am pretty much out now though. Here is what I have left: 1 Medium, 1 XL, 1 XXL, 1 XXXL. Now I have quite a few that are spoken for but not paid for yet. If any more become available, I will let you know.
  16. Well, it turns out the the key in the flywheel was just fine. All the valves were a bit loose but not bad. I did find one of the rods appeared to be out of the seat a bit. None were bent. I lined all the rods back up, adjusted the valves and put it all back together. It seems to be running good again. I ran it full throttle and with the mower engaged and there was no backfiring. I won't call it fixed until I actually need to mow again. Raining here today though. I THINK it is OK now.
  17. Folks, I have had this device on my bike for several years now and it is fantastic. Yes, it does work with the Buddyrich cable.
  18. I've got to do a count later today. I think I have one but let me be sure.
  19. I also have a SWR meter. Anybody coming to MD is welcome to use it.
  20. Those pictures just keep coming back don't they. I think I have narrowed this down though. After taking to Eusa, I am betting that it's a sheared key on the flywheel. I broke a drive belt last weekend and finally got a new one delivered on Friday. Got it on and mowed about 3/4 of the yard before the backfiring started. When the belt broke last week, it got wrapped in the mower clutch and quickly bound everything up. It made a lot of noise and stopped the engine very quickly. Very likely that the key is sheared. I'll pull the flywheel today and check it. Thanks for all the responses.
  21. I used to have the turn out Samson's on my '99 but they were just way too loud. I then with with Khromewerks. They were a little better and you could repack them when they got a little louder over time. I felt that the Khromewerks were just better mufflers. I finally got tired of even that much noise though so ended up going back to stock. I installed a set of RSTD mufflers with the tips that can turn down or out. No louder than stock but I like the looks.
  22. Buddy, Yes, that is a real possibility. Those rods are aluminum of all things. I've already replaced them one time about two years ago. Very easy to do and there were no valves burned. I plan to check that tomorrow. Eusa1, Got your PM. Thanks. If I don't find a valve problem, that is the next thing I will check. Sounds like a big job though and I hope I don't have to do it. This mower has just shy of 1700 hours on it now. I guess I can't complain but I know that when I bought it, I wished it had a Kohler or Kawasaki engine.
  23. Here is the problem. Snapper zero turn. 21 HP Briggs Vanguard engine. Already run several tanks of gas through it this spring so it's not old gas. The problem just started the last time I mowed. Backfiring bad through exhaust. Worse when I engage the blades and put a load on the engine. Worse as I give it more throttle. Starts easily. Things I've done so far. New plugs, new air filter, Seafoam. None of which has helped at all. Tomorrow I plan to check the valve clearance but I doubt that is the problem. Any suggestions?
  24. hmmm.........maybe it's time to report it stolen.
