  1. Got up early this morning. Loaded up all the trash bags from MD and hauled them to the dump. Came back home and put away all the chairs, benches, awning, tire changer, coolers, etc. Got things looking pretty good around here. It was a beautiful day so I decided it was time to get some wind in my face. Fired up the Snapper and spent the next 4 - 5 hours mowing. Awwwww.....wind and bugs. Not what I really had in mind though. I will say this and I say it every year. It is always absolutely amazing how clean you folks leave this place. You notice everything when you mow and I have to tell you, I never saw one tiny bit of paper or any other type of trash on the ground. You folks are fantastic. Thank you for the respect for our place that you always show. You are a wonderful group to host.
  2. Well fine...but for the record...let me just say that I am absolutely NOT attracted to that woman. NOPE...not one little bit. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  3. EXACTLY....That's what I tried telling Eileen...it DIDN'T HAPPEN.
  4. I have no picture of the picture.
  5. I know not of whom you speak.
  6. OK...thanks to all my GOOD friends here, I am now facing the music. After maintenance day, I had to leave immediately Monday morning for some business in Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. Was there from Monday until Friday. So I got home later yesterday and was greeted by a kiss and the usual "I missed you talk". All is well in Oberlin. Then I noticed a couple of framed GIFTS from all my friends here that were presented to me at MD and were now laying on the kitchen counter. When Eileen saw me glance at them...she said..."OH YEA...you have some EXPLAINING to do". I would like to say here and now that you are NOT a bunch of clowns and please accept my VERY HUMBLE apology for ever inferring such a thing. I'm pretty sure that the picture will NOT be going on my nightstand.
  7. Bumping this up again. Come on folks. This is a GREAT location and will be a LOT of fun. Get your registrations in.
  8. Would love to but vacation time is at a premium. Too many things to do this summer and not enough time off.
  9. Heck folks, Willie turned 80 years old last month. I think he has held up pretty well considering the lifestyle that he has led. He will always be one of my favorites.
  10. I have nothing against the Victory and do think that the Cross series are great looking bikes. Just because it starts with a "V" though doesn't mean anything. The font is different.
  11. LOL....I was typing as fast as I was riding. Corrected.
  12. Was getting gas this morning in Liverpool, NY near Syracuse when a Midnight Venture pulled in. Talked to the owner for a few minutes and invited him to join us here. Hope he stops by.
  13. I'm not home but talked to my wife a few minutes ago. Everything is OK right now and she knows where to go if things get bad. I hope they don't though.
  14. It's hard to say for sure without seeing it but I can't imagine it not being worth 500.00. If you can get it cheaper, that's even better.
  15. I really think that something is wrong. I would even suspect that you are running on three cylinders. I've pulled my trailer very heavily loaded at the highest altitudes in Colorado and at Interstate speeds in excess of 80 MPH and never felt a need for more power. I've since gone to the VMAX rear end and it is even better now.
  16. Yea, I zoomed in on one of the pictures in that ad and it does say Korea. That being the case, I wouldn't be scared to give them a try. There are some good automobile tires coming out of Korea.
  17. I know nothing about them. A quick search leads me to believe that they are likely manufactured in China. Did find their website. http://www.fullboretires.com/index.html
  18. I think it is a Utopia. Could be a Diamond R. They are very similar.
  19. All these fake witnesses. You KNOW I would never say such a thing.
  20. I too ran a set of the older commanders and liked them. My only complaint was that they were a bit noisy in long sweeping curves. Looking at the tread design of the Commander II, I don't expect that to be an issue. They still don't offer the Commander II in the OEM size for the front however. They make it in the 130 size which is a bit narrower than the stock 150 size. Some here actually prefer the 130 size and run it in whatever brand they use. I have personally never used the 130 so can't offer an opinion on that. We installed a 130 Commander II on a RSV at MD and it looked good. I may actually give it a try when I need tires again.
  21. Nope, haven't cracked that bottle yet. Gonna save it for a very special occasion.
  22. hmmmmm...........now I'm thinking I better go see if anybody is still in the guest house. Don't remember that little Mini Muffin leaving. OH.....the HORROR!
  23. OK folks. Now that Maintenance Day is behind me, it's time to start putting more attention on the International Rally. Our team is doing a fantastic job putting this one together and you sure don't want to miss it. Many of you have made hotel and camping reservations but far fewer have actually registered for the rally. PLEASE do so at your earliest convenience. Pre-Registration not only helps us to get a better count of how many people to expect so that the food service and etc. can be confirmed but also saves you a little money over waiting to register when you get there. Here is the thread with registration instructions. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=72568
  24. Fell asleep in my chair. Suddenly woke up and knew I had to get moving. Grabbed the half bottle of apple pie that was left over and ran outside. This is what I found? Where is everybody? Was it something I said?
  25. Good pics my friend.
