  1. THe CM is your dashboard Computer monitor. and it is hard to find to replace if you toast it.
  2. Yeah,.....but you would be living in Quebec........
  3. My 85 registration and insurance was slated to jumo to over 1900 yearly. it does include all collision, theft, liability and medical with a 500 deductible, but its outrageous! I am working with a local group called www.saskrage.org to get the proposed increase reversed. Some of the SPorts bike categories jumped from an already outrageous rate of around 1900 yrly to a new unbelievable rate of over 5400 bucks yearly! Bikers are just outraged here! Brian
  4. We had a massive snowstorm late last week here and it closed all traffic in and out of this area. We have had record snowfall here this winter and with this latest snow are fully expecting major flooding as this is going to melt pretty quickly. I hope everyone downstream in North Dakota is prepping for flooding too, as its all headed their way soon. Ive lived here all my life and have never seen a winter snow accumulation like this current winter. THis pic was taken late last week on the rail line northwest of Regina close to Craik SK. Most years I am riding already and am having temps averaging 40-50f. Brian
  5. is it noisy while on the sidestand and while upright? Idling with the clutch in or out? while riding or idling? Might help us pin it down. Mine was rattling while on side stand, but quit when I pulled in the clutch handle. Brian
  6. sending Alan all the Get well vibes I can muster,. I hope he gets better soon! Brian
  7. you DO realize that youve opened up the season on using the thanks button? Brian
  8. uuuhhhhhhh! wait a minute, let me think,......whose bike is this again?? Brian:p
  9. just a thought, but the way your starter turns over slowly, it might be a good time right now to put in the heavier battery cables and stater cables. It made a world of difference to my 85 and its a cheap fix. Brian
  10. I currently dont own any bikes and am sure we may have toehr members in the same spot from time to time. Brian
  11. so glad to see that you guys are doing your part for the Canadian economy...... Brian
  12. Motorcyclegear.com is my favourite site for gear, and I have always found their sizing info right on... and pricing a third of my local dealers. They ship to Canada just fine and have taken an item back from me when a gift didnt fit right, I just paid the shipping. Brian
  13. LOL ,....YEP!
  14. Ya gotta remember that there are a LOT of members here, and youre probably only hearing from a small percentage of the guys that actually have issues. Youre really not hearing from the happy owners when you ask about a specific issue, but I am glad that a few of the happy guys have chimed in here. Brian
  15. thanks for sharing this so the rest of us might be able to avoid a similar or worse incident. I am glad youre ok! Brian
  16. looks nice, but the price looks high to me because of the mileage. I would be inclined to look at one from the U.S and import it. Bringing a bike in is supposed to be a piece of cake as long as you get the title in hand and have all the papers at the border agenets more than 48 hours before the crossing with the new bike. Brian
  17. Many have tried using different brands of oil, with no change of whine. THe clutch will eventually slip, however, if you use a motoroil with the energy-conserving crest on the label. Brian
  18. not quite identical , but there is a light in the 85 speedo faceplate for the cruise that the 86 and up do not have. Brian
  19. good luck with the surgery, wishing a swift painless recovery for you. Brian
  20. Enjoy! i hope you get a chance to put a bit more 2 wheel time under your belt once the snow goes away. Brian
  21. here you go in case he says yes.
  22. I am headed into hospital tomorrow to get a complete titanium implant replacement on my left hip:yikes:. Ive put if off for about 5 years thinking I would avoid surgery as long as possible but after dumping the bike about 1-1/2 years ago and landing on that hip, its gone down hill. My doc booked the appt and it looks like the best thing to do,..I am looking forward to being able to get around without a limp and without the pain that I have now. I was told by the docs that I should probably get a bike thats a bit shorter to make it easier on the new joint, so my 85 is gone and I am temporarily bikeless. I am looking forward to shopping around for a different bike once things heal up a bit and I can start getting around. Ok, nuff said, see you all online in a few days when I get outta hospital and back home. Brian
  23. If I was looking for trike I think I would give these guys a good look. its different but you can still lean like you can with a 2 wheeler bike! Ive been watching the reviews for about a year and so far they look like they have a great product. http://www.tiltingmotorworks.com/ more pics and info here- https://www.facebook.com/#!/TiltingMotorWorks?fref=ts Brian
