    OK, chaulk this up for a new owner getting to know his bike. When I turn the ignition switch to the "on" position, everything lights up fine... but I also hear a clicking noise for about one second or so. Help a newbie learn more. What is the sound that I am hearing. Thx. in advance.

    I have been following with great interest, the postings regarding the use of either risers (typically Baron's) or the RSTD Handlebars (some have opted for the Flanders bars). In many, if not most instances, people have indicated the need to replace cables and or hoses to the handlebar controls. Has anyone tried rerouting the cables, hoses and wires to the front of the triple tree (fork brace)? On my previous bike (Valkyrie), the comon solution for addition risers was to reroute the cables to the front of the triple tree. Is this an option or is there too much other stuff in the way?

    I have now had the opportunity to put a few miles on my (new to me) 2006 Venture with 1,500 milles. I am hearing a high pitched whine coming from the engine at higher RPMs or speed (above 50 mph and continuing). I believe it is coming from the engine as the sound disappears when I close the throttle or pull in the clutch lever. Can someone enlighten me as to what I am hearing? Do I have a problem is or is it new owner jitters. Thanks.

    I was wondering if anyone is using a handheld microphone for their CB radio. My friend has a Harley Ultra Classic with this setup and I like the way he is able to use a half-helmet with no headset. What experience have others had? If you are using a handheld mic, where did you get it? Can you provide a link? Thanks much!

    The older RSV midnight models came with a stock seat that did not feature the pillow look, It appears that this style seat is no longer available on the '08 models. It looks like the only option is for the pillow top (with indented buttons?) style seat. Can anyone offer a comparison of the "feel" between the two model seats?

    Folks: Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I have also read that some people have used the Royal Star Tour Deluxe handlebars on the Venture with some success. What has been your experience with this mod?

    I was wondering what others have done to raise the height of their stock (or other) handlebars and also bring the bars back closer to the rider. Suggested options for risers and/or alternative style handlebars will be appreciated. Note on any special installation procedures will also help. Thx.
