  1. Yep, fishing is it's primary mission, but with the Evinrude E-TEC it pulls a 3 person towable just fine as well. Being all aluminum it only weighs about 2,000 lbs including the motor.
  2. That does look nice for an '86 model. Here is my '86 Sea Nymph. Not much to look at but the hull is rock solid and all the mechanicals/electronics are 3 years old or less.
  3. At 6'4" if my butt is that low it means I am sitting on the ground. Hard enough to just get myself up from that position, picking a bike up from that position would be a flat out miracle.
  4. See? That's the danger of wearing a half helmet. 🤣
  5. First time I dropped a bike was in high school.....in the high school parking lot.....right as school was letting out. Hit some loose gravel on the blacktop. One second I was riding, next second the bike was on its side between my legs and I was standing there going "What just happened?" Only thing hurt was my pride.
  6. When I see a vehicle waiting to enter the road ahead of me I expect them to pull out in front of me and prepare accordingly. If they don't, well that is just a bonus. I am also a proponent of having as many bright lights on my bike as possible. I am constantly adding/improving lights as I find new options and the budget allows. My most recent improvement was a headlight modulator.
  7. Not to beat a dead horse....but I am going to beat it anyway. Prescription safety glasses are worth their weight in gold. Especially in your case.
  8. Looks like about 4 months too late. Hannigan had this one for sale at Bike Week in Daytona. Took a quick look at their website just now and did not see it....
  9. The CB antenna on my RSV was missing when I bought the bike. So far I have not found anybody who has them in stock.
  10. I know someone who can make a holster for it. 😉 He made this one just because somebody asked him if he could, not because it had any practical value. For what it is though, it is quite functional.
  11. Not just water.....ice water. On a long ride on a hot day if you run out of cooling the fix is as close as the nearest store that sells ice.
  12. I was noticing slim pick'ens in pretty much every department. I keep getting sale ads from them, but I am not sure why....they don't have that much on the shelf at the moment. Maybe their marketing department is trying to justify their jobs....
  13. Actually was in Britain if I remember correctly. I would be surprised if you found many Goldwings in Japan. The vast majority of bikes I saw when I was in Japan last year were very small by our standards, as were the other vehicles. I flew into Osaka and traveled by bus across the country to the Tottori Provence on the Sea of Japan. A couple of things stood out to me: 1. I did not see a single disabled vehicle the entire 10 days I was in the country. 2. Every vehicle on the road appeared to be a relatively new model. Another thing I noticed was that every driver appeared to be acting courteously and obeying traffic laws. I know, mind blowing, right? I have seen video of that towing setup with a Goldwing before, but it was several years ago and was definitely an older model Goldwing than that video.
  14. News flash, even the gun stores don't have much for guns or ammo right now. I was in Academy sports the other day and checked out the gun counter as is my habit.....I am pretty sure I have more handguns in my house than they have in that 40ft. long display case right now. Background checks to purchase firearms last month hit an all-time record high.
  15. I am also a member on a gun forum.....both of these forums are full of enablers. Oh well, I guess money is only worth what you buy with it, right?
  16. If I buy it first I will give you a report, but if you buy it first you have to give me a report. Deal?
  17. https://cyclechillers.com/ I am eyeballing the tandem version.....it may serve dual purpose for the fishing boat as well.
  18. Ok, looks like I am going to have to spell it out for you.......the trailer hitch would be for trips to the lake. Think you can launch those wave runners with the Harley? You may laugh, but years ago when I had a Goldwing GL1100 I ran across a guy riding a Goldwing identical to mine and he was towing a small fishing boat with it. Said he did so on a regular basis.
  19. Interesting.....I have never noticed a vibration issue on my RSV. It has had the Kuryakyn grips on it since I bought it.
  20. For a fact, some insurance companies will not touch a salvage title vehicle.
  21. Ahhhhh!!! That's why I am not familiar with them. A previous owner installed Kuryakyn grips on mine so the weights are long gone.
  22. Amazon. I was going to post a link but I do not see it listed in my past orders. It may have been before I signed up for a Prime account. If you go on Amazon and search for "usb charger for motorcycle handlebars" many similar products will pop up.
  23. Not familiar with the bar weights, where are they mounted?
  24. Just wondering if anybody has put these on their RSV... https://www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle-handlebar-end-led-lights?cat=977 I am thinking about giving them a try. Thoughts?
  25. None, actually. What is not visible in the pic is the On/Off switch on the backside. I turn it off when not in use. And a perk of living in Florida is that I almost never let it sit for two weeks without riding it.
