  1. Going for a ride on Thursday to pick up a 98 RSTD. Riding up with my brother on the RSV and we will ride a bike each on the way home. I was looking at buying either a Buell, a Roadliner or another Royal Star. Just wanted soemthing a little lighter than the RSV for a town bike. Stumbled across a 98 RSTD for $2800 US which is $3800 AU. I love the RSV so much I couldnt pass up another of these V4's at that price. Comes with the standard windshield and the baggershield in the pics. Thursday can't come quick enough. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. Never been a huge fan of the venture royale but if I found one as good as that I reckon I would own one. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. A bike pump is fine for the rear shock but not for the front forks. You won't be able to get accuracy between 1-7 psi and such low pressure is exhausted as soon as you press a gauge on to check. A purpose made pump is the only way to do the forks without risking damage to your seals from too much pressure or a wobbly ride from uneven pressue in each fork. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. Generally you wont have to rejet or worry about any tuning issues when you instal slip on mufflers. If you were to change the header pipes then you will have to rejet. Slip on mufflers are pretty much just a case of instal and ride. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. It is making the news in Australia. Saw it reported yesterday. Simply amazing. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  7. I have DNA fish tail slip on mufflers. I like the sound but maybe a bit loud for some. They are made for HD so I did have to fabricate a L bracket (I used stainless flat bar) to hang them under the bags. They aren't obnoxiously loud when cruising and idle sounds badass. They sure do bark when you give it heaps. $198.95 USD for the pair. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. Picked up a 18" roadliner wheel to drop in my 99RSV. Should be in by the weekend with a Pirelli night dragon tire. Looking forward to lighter steering. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks Cowpuc. I agree with what you are saying and am interested in your ideas. The black rifle is a 1942 91/30 mosin nagant 7.62 x 54R. Its bedded in a Archangel stock with 10 round magazine. Still very much a bolt action. Just to clarify one point on our present gun laws. Semi auto military style rifles such as the AR15 etc are still available here but not to the general public. The licence requirements are very strict and you have to satisfy the need to own one such as a proffessional hunter. So the only ban has been on automatics/machine guns and I am ok with that. Historical collectors can own machine guns and cannons etc but they must be inoperable. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. In Australia we have had a couple of gun buy backs and a lot of tightening of our gun control laws. Instigated by a incident where more than 30 people were murdered by a lone gunman in Port Arthur, Tasmania. He used military style rifles. I dont know off hand of anyone trying to shoot politicians in this country (not saying nobody wants to or hasn't thought about it). I do remember a guy ramming his car into parliament house a few years back. With all the gun control and buy backs there are now more licenced shooters and more guns in Australia than before the Port Arthur massacre. What has changed is we are not allowed to have semi auto or full auto rifles. Hangun owners must belong to and attend sporting club shooting ranges. We have no concealed carry option with handguns. We have a 28 day waiting period while purchasing new firearms. There is a low gun related murder rate here and I dont feel the need to carry a handgun for personal protection. Crims and psychos can still get guns and gun crime still happens here but at a lower rate than the US. Laws may help but Crims and psychos have never cared much for laws. Our government has announced yet another amnesty allowing the law abiding citizens a chance to register or surrender unregistered firearms ( estimated to number around 250000 in this country). Of course no crims will be handing their guns in. Gun control here is not a gun ban. Law abiding citizens can still own guns and lots of them do. Like me. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Which is what I will be doing. Keep my 99RSV cos there STILL is nothing else like it (and what else would I do with my cassettes?) but I will buy a Indian Chief Vintage over the new (cough - cough) "Venture". I think Yamaha have made a nice touring bike there but a full dresser Strat isn't what I was hoping for. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. Just thought I'd share some pics of my fortnightly ride. Each time I pick my youngest (11 yrs old) daughter up from school on Friday and drop her off on Monday morning, this is what I get to enjoy. We travel through Brisbane city for about an hour of boring motorways until we get out in the countryside to where her school is. It's a three hour round trip for me but I feel like riding on and on every time. The RSV is such a pleasure to ride I am looking forward to doing some real touring soon. 14. Installed Baron V4 logo water pymp and timing hole covers today. Filled the radiator with new coolant and ran the motor til it got hot enough to activate the fan. No leaks [emoji2] yee haa. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. I enjoy the odd game or two on PS4. I stumbled across farcry3 and loved it. Also played Farcry4 but got bored quickly. The story line in 3 was better I thought. Been playing Metal Gear Solid phantom pain and Fallout 4 since they arrived in store. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  16. Could it be the new superbike V4 perhaps? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
