  2. Broview wouldnt send to Australia from Amazon so I found an alternative on fleabay and installed last night. Haven't road tested yet but so far all is good with this plug and play instal. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. Picked up a NOS OEM chrome rear brake reservoir cover for a xvs1100 for a good price the other day. Perfect fit and nicer to look at than the stock black one. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. Got home from work today to find my parcel of K&N filters waiting patiently for me. Put my sticker inside the trunk lid and set about dropping the engine and rear drive oils. Both needed doing judging by the colours coming out. My air filter housings got treated to a dulux rebuild (coat of paint ) and the new filters. Found a nice collection of filings on the rear drive drain plugs magnet. Next project is to drop the rear drive and check the wear on splines and bearings but that's for another day. Looking forward to a test ride in the morning and check for fluid leaks. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. The sun is very harsh here in Brisbane Australia. My new to me 99 RSV has sun damaged electrical harness where it's been exposed to the sun over its life. I used a self sealing braided hose cover to tidy up the appearance along the handlebars. Since finding the rusty spark plug the other day I decided to go through some more maintenance that probably hasnt been done for a while. Going to pull the shaft and sort out fluids and grease soon. 6. Thanks for the heads up. I will be doing an oil change this week. Just waiting for air and oil filters to arrive. I will keep this in mind. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. A bit more of an issue if you have the ABS chrome ignition cover which will scratch and/or crack from the contact. I was looking at mine the other day thinking about it and you confirmed there is contact. I like what you achieved with yours and the dowels look great. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. Man these bikes are heavy. Fell over on my brothers steep driveway. Landed on the crash bars so it did nothing more than scuff the chrome. Thats what I thought until I noticed oil above my carbs. While I set about cleaning up that mess I decided to put new spark plugs in. Glad I did. Front right pot had the rusty plug you will find in the pics. I also polished my forks, foot boards and levers. Before and after pic follows. Also found some mismatched bolts from the previous owner so I replaced them with stainless buttonheads. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. Some photos of the ride into Brisbane for the Anzac day Parade Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  11. Today in Australia we pause to remember those who have served our country in times of war. This began after the landings at Gallipoli in 1915 and continues today as our national remembrance day for all conflicts around the world. My father is a Vietnam war veteran 3 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment 1967- 1968. My brother and I rode to the Vietnam Veterans MC club house for the dawn service. I found one other Venture there amongst a large variety of bikes, mostly Harley Davidson. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. The owners manual says not to coast or tow the bike. Transmission damage will result. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. Feel more like riding than working haha Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks snyper316. I like the white walls too but I agree they don't suit some bikes. The tyres were new on the bike when I bought it. She's my daily ride and we still have plenty of riding weather here in Brisbane. Autum and its 84° F outside. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks Craig, it is a nice rig and I am enjoying adding the personal touches. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks mate. There are not many Ventures here in Australia. I was lucky to find this one with only 50,000 kms on it. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  17. Here is a couple of pics of my 99 venture. I traded in my 08 XJR 1300 for this. It's the first cruiser or tourer I have ever owned. Absolutely loving it and slowly customizing her. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah loving the attention to detail. Thats a great looking ride. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
