  1. Thanks. I bought it off bloke who towed it around Australia several times bedind a BMW. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. This one is a cargo trailer. I don't get time to camp out often enough to warrant a camper. Too many children still at home [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. Fibre glass trailer made in Queensland Australia.Tow it with my 99RSV. I have a trailer hitch for my 98RSTD but haven't fitted that yet. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. Hi Stu. I guess you bought that wrecked 99RSV that was on ebay in Victoria. I am in Brisbane and have the same model 99RSV. Interested in seeing how the rebuild comes along. Here is my 99. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks BlueSky. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks Woody. Sure was glad to find the splits before it caused me grief Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. A few more pics. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. This charity ride raises funds for prostate cancer research and mens mental health. Limited to 500 bikes the ride runs through Brisbane city, up Mt Cootha and down to the Morrison Hotel for auctions an afterparty. The idea is to dress up in suit and tie. It was a very good day out. I had the only Royal Star there. I did ride with some V Stars and Road Stars though. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. Next project was to fit a set of Kuryakyn ISO grips. Simple enough. Hmm now the bike won't start. Acts like the kill switch is engaged. Ni cranking. Headlight, radio etc. All work. Thinking maybe my kill switch is kaput. I bypassed it and still nothing. Pulled the throttle side switch block apart several times thinking I pinched a wire or something. Still no go. Checked all fuses. All good still no go. Everything seems fine just nothing when I hit the starter button. No trouble until I changed these hand grips. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. Greased up my rear drive bits. Found the lack of grease I have read about. Had a Pirelli Route 66 spooned onto the rear wheel to replace that cracked D404. The Pirelli feels good so far. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Had to make a lift adaptor as no-one in Australia makes them and freight to Australia for one from Carbon one is prohibitive. Will come in handy for the work needed on my 98 RSTD. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. I think so. I found this after I returned from a three hour ride. Need to step up my pre ride checks to more than checking tyre pressures. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. Found why the rear Dunlop 404 felt loose in corners Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  15. Prayers for you amd your family Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  16. Went for a ride onto Tamborine mountain and back. My Dads buddy who is also a Vietnam war veteran came along on my RSTD. Roger was a tank driver in 1970-71. My brother also came along on his Honda Fury. Good way to start the day. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  17. Thank you. The problem with interchangeable mufflers is in the different header pipes. This pic shows the OEM ones you need at the top. Middle pic shows the header pipe for RSV and later model RSTD - these allow for easy swapping of slip on mufflers. The bottom pic shows the early RS and RSTD header/muffler unit. Its a complete unit not a slip on. To use slip on mufflers will require mods to header pipes and heat sheilds. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  18. Yes that will work. You can cut the rear baffle plate and remove the rear section. No need to rejet and will be a lot louder. Not as nice a note as good aftermarket mufflers but will be louder. Was done to mine by a previous owner on my 98 RSTD and my 99 RSV. I have fishtails on the RSV now. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  19. They are not the same. My 98 Royal Star Tour Deluxe has mufflers that look the same as my 99 Venture but the Venture cans are slip on whereas the RSTD are not slip on, they are fixed to the header pipes. These cans are also longer than the 4-4 RS ones. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  20. Installed a rider backrest and toured around the countryside to see some classic bike rally at Jondaryan Woolshed Classic. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  21. Went for a 335km round trip from Brisbane Australia out to the Jondaryan Woolshed Classic Motorcycle Rally. Lovely scenery and old towns along the way. The 99 RSV was great as always. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  22. Wow what a close call. So glad you came through alright even though your bike didn't. God speed with the bike repairs and thanks for relaying your story for us all. I hope you are riding again soon. We still allow retreads on trucks in Australia too. See their carcass everywhere. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  23. They dont ship to Australia so I tried the same thing in a different brand on ebay. Same price. Makes a great difference and easier than retro fitting the Harley daymakers. I am happy with mine and have done a few thousand km's with it. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  24. Took a ride through the Scenic Rim with a mate Dave who has a 99 same as mine. Nice country roads in the hills and home along the freeway. Bought a RSTD 98 at a good price and been working on making that a solo bike for work and around town. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  25. Yeah I know they have less power. This one's going to be a daily ride to work type bike. My ride to work is short which has been putting pointless miles on the venture. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
