  3. Hey Paul, I heard this past weekend that Toyota is possibly opening a Plant in West Point, Ms... West Point is about 25 miles from where I live, and I work about 16 miles from West Point at Aurora Flight Sciences, located at the Golden Triangle Regional Airport, Columbus, MS As for us meeting up: Not sure who will be going yet (me or another guy from work), but one of us has to make a trip down to Gulfport in the near future. If I am the lucky one (as they say) I will let you know before I leave here so that we can meet up for a bite to eat and that favorite drink while I am down there.
  4. Roy, I'm not all that religious, however I used to be and know the way. I also know when a man cries for the help of GOD for I too have cried for him to touch my son when he was on his death bed. I believe in Gods power and you and your family must do the same. I personally have seen with my own eyes, and know miracles have been performed by prayer. I pray now for his life, his strength and the comfort he and your family needs. I pray for calmness to overcome your family with a sound understanding GOD's hand will touch him. You must believe. You must trust in that belief, and he will over come this. Eck
  5. When bikers act like this I too would not want them in my town. It gives all bikers a bad rap.. “This is supposed to be a tourist community,” Read more here: http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/2013/02/11/3322875/horry-county-to-go-over-bike-week.html#storylink=cpy http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/2013/02/11/3322875/horry-county-to-go-over-bike-week.html
  6. Spear, My son lives in Adelaide too..........I sure wish I could see him and his wife again. Lucky you...... And congrats on the new grand son...pops!!
  7. You are not alone SilvrT... I, like many others here ride a GW and Im still here. Im still here for the same reasons you have but I also personally like staying here because I enjoy helping others when I can and with the knowledge I have been blessed with. Now I dont have all the answers as I can prove myself, but what I do have, I offer anytime and offer it free to anyone in need. I have come across so many here who give of themselves and give from thier heart, knowing they too enjoy that feeling of being blessed in one way or another to be able to help someone. Always wanting to "pass it on". That feeling bleeds on this site and I see it and feel it from many. It doesnt take long for a newbie to see it and feel it either thus making a stronger force and family. Many join here not knowing what kind of world they are about to enter..but soon realize this is the most to giving family they know of.. That in itself makes me want to stay. I dont have that with my real family members...........bet many of you dont either.. I have been here before the site crash likemany here and we have seen many come and go. Many a Good folk too and a few not so good. You never hear of anyone talking bad about anyone here (posted live anyway).. In all my years here I met two folks I didnt rub elbows with real well, but I still speak to them in respect when I see them and they do the same in return. That respect was built here also. I could say I enjoy the HD bashing, but that wouldnt get me far.. I get GW bashed every now and then so it doesnt matter what one rides. We all have a common bond here. We love to ride and we love Dairy Queen...
  8. Folks, All I can say is Lewis goes all out on the effort side of pulling off a great rally here. I would like to ask if you would all look around your garage on the shelves and in those drawers if you have any 1st or 2nd gen parts or even GW or an old harley part, sitting around collecting dust because you took it off to add a after market or custom part. If you have no use for that part, how about considering on just sending it to Lewis for him to either auction off or have as a door prize for someone who can use it. Ive already cleaned out all my stuff and gave it to him two years ago. Another option is, when your in Wally world or any store for that matter, and you seee something you could easily purchase and dontate to Lewis for a door prize please do so. Ideas: Wax, cleaning rags, an air gage, can of fix a flat, something, anything.. All your help is appreciated and goes to a wonderful cause:thumbsup2: Lewis, I sure wish you could use old helmets...........all of us have a few of those sitting around..
  9. That really looks nice. Very nice!! I have the 3m on the hood of one of my Avalanche's. It has protected the hood since 2005, and the clear is chipped/nicked, cut and torn in places. I'm getting ready to take a heat gun to it and remove it. I will recover it again with new once I get this old coat off..
  10. Eck

    Found it

    Your such a tease............
  11. So sorry Dan.. My condolences to you and the whole family
  12. James, When it comes to Harley rear lights on a RSV or RSD, I have to once again mention the best looking HD rear light assembly I have ever seen, is the set of rear Harley lights that Davecb has on his RSV. Davecb can be located in the Alabama community section and you could maybe send him a p-email asking him what part number HD light assembly he has on his or see if he can send/post a photo for you to see.. If I ever went back to a RSV, I would spend many a night searching for a rear light set like he has.
  13. Dan, My heart is with her, you and your whole family. Prayers sent.
  14. Don't want to let you down, but it looks very slim at this time. PS: forget the two roads I mentioned for they are not paved...
  15. Lewis, Check out chatahoochie river road...and Tray Mountain road for a possible venture / excursion

  17. Cant wait to see that big guy sitting on that 1st gen..
  18. Ive been to Angel city. Before the SUn set it was a great place.. However, right after the sun set, the MOON's came out and then many other protruding parts of the human anatomy appeared... It didnt take but a minute for my wife to notice and she looked at me and said it was time to go......... We left and it was around 7pm...just when it was about to get good...
  19. Lewis, For what it means,,,, I wish you a year of being totally pain free, and full of great health. Hope to ride with you again soon my friend!!
  20. Lewis, I cant afford all that fancy stuff..I just let my speakers do the work..
  21. Happy Birthday Rhonda Hope you enjoyed your day. You were the only one who remembered mine...
  22. I'm sorry, but the photo (to me) appears to be material of leather, not plastic.. If you are certain it is plastic, you can use a pencil type soldering iron and mold the plastic back together. You can also add more plastic if you need to by using a piece of your push around trash can by cutting a small piece (1"x1") from the overhang of the lid. Who cares its only trash can...use this piece as you heat up the broken section and melt the plastic from this 1x 1 ' piece to fill the void. Heat the void. Use the soldering iron to carefully smoothe out the voids. This is better than gluing. Take the pencil soldering iron and create a "V" between the mating piece and fill the voids with the extra plastic. Smooth it out using the soldering iron.. wha-lah.. Sand and paint to your liking..
  23. There are those who ride that think they can out do anyone.. Those are the ones we find wrapped around a tree or becoming a custom hood ornament on the hood of the on coming vehicle..
  24. The BR-parkway is not just a road.. It is a challenge that the normal rider must take caution on. I don't care who you are or how well you THINK you know how to ride.. The Dragons tail is one of the most challenging roads a rider will ever ride...and make it through, (if he does it right). As mentioned above, I too would strongly suggest you ride it during the week to avoid those avid local riders who have rode it many times. If you think your GOOD at riding, I again strongly suggest you take the ride north for the 11 miles. Stop, relax and take in the DAM view at the north end. Then, when you think you have your scruples head back that 11 miles and if you get that urge, speed up a little because NOW you know how sharp the curves really are...but don't get over bearing for if you do, you will take that trophy home of having parts of your bike on the tree of shame........ I have rode the tail of the dragon 14 times now...I choose to never ride it again...It is very hard on your bike if you ride it aggressively. Those new tires and brakes will show the wear if you choose to do so.
