  3. But there is a big difference between a trained law enforcement and your average open carry individual with no powers of arrest. The officer is much more threatening to a suspect. The officer also has a holster designed to be secure from someone else removing the firearm. Unlike most holsters on the market. It depends on how the person is carrying and his level of professionalism. Some people I’ve saw has no business with a gun at all with a holster that a gun cult fall out of Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The 6906 is a double stack 9mm. I carried everything from a Smith 686 357 in 1990 to a S&W 40 & 45 before retiring. They actually provided us our weapons so everyone carried the same. I was able to purchase each one at the end. I have all five plus I got a purchase the pistol they went to this year for the 100 anniversary. The state police started carrying a Glock 17 this year. 5. I have an old S&W 6906 still in great condition. Very accurate and good shooting pistol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Never open carry for many reasons: 1) too many incidences someone has had their gun taken 2) you'll be first to get shot 3) you'll lose your element of surprise When you're carrying a pocket pistol, you'll probably out gunned anyway, element of surprise is your greatest advantage
  7. Yes prayers for Puc & family. But back on topic I did upgrade my AR stock this week to a Magpul CTR stock. Much more comfortable and easier on the shoulder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I was shooting at 50 yards today using 55 grain solid brass bullet. Conditions were windy but sunny. The red dot is 2 MOA @ 100 so more like 1 MOA @50. Later I will do more tweaking and test out at 100 yards. First time shooting the Vortex optic so after I got it sighted in I am satisfied with the accuracy. Shots were very well and few shots cut each other but mostly all within a 50 cent piece.
  9. Got some range time today and zeroed the optics. I like the Vortex Crossfire

  11. You can find the Anderson lowers for $39 plus shipping on the internet but I got this one at a local gun shop for $45 out the door. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Hey Puc, I bought another AR today. Let the building begin! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I haven't really looked at any of the drums, I guess I just felt that they were too bulky.
  14. The MP 15 is mil spec but the SR22 is the same as the Ruger 10/22 rifle it on a AR look platform. It takes the same barrel mag as the 10/22. I’m searching for an HC3R 25 round mag but there on back order
  15. My other parts of the arsenal MP 15 Then for cheap plinking with a SR22 (.22 cal)
  16. I prefer a single point sling myself but that’s what I’ve trained with
  17. Not Mayor yet. Still only Councilman & Municipal Judge, Trustee, Security Director, & businessman. Election is June 4th. then I can add Mayor to the list. LOL. The AR started out a plain Anderson in the 5.56 nato with 1/8 barrel. The Key Mod rail added lots of real estate to add extras. Then I added the iron sights and Vortex Crossfire optics. I really like the Vortex. I added some Magpul pieces and researching the Magpul stocks. Not sure till I get to lay my hands on a couple first. I got a half dozen pmags coming Monday. The light and laser is on my wish list.
  18. I’ve been following this thread some and enjoying the comments. I’ve been modifying and slowly building up another AR. Not sure what all I’ll do but if I got enough parts left over I’m going to build another one from scratch.
  19. Win or lose the election, I’m still the municipal judge here in town
  20. Everyone knows what I look like, they don’t want a pic of me on their refrigerator. LOL
  21. Gassaway is a small town of approx 1000 - 1100 people. Everyone knows me and how to find me but most doesn’t know when the elections are. Usually less than 100 people votes. I just need to let them know I am running and when the election is. I should be able to pull this off easily.
  22. Got my political business cards ordered and getting ready to start the campaigning. What does everyone think?
