We're out in Vegas right now for a friends wedding, on our flight out here we had to divert around Chicagos FAA area.....to Minneapolis to transfer to Vegas. Funny thing here is that they're having a Hawaiian wedding in Vegas and I told them we'd rather have a Vegas wedding in Hawaii! Been to Oahu, like Maui MUCH better, in '96 we rented a Heritage softail and rode it over to Hana to see the black sand beaches.....NNNice! Good luck Bob and Becky, have a safe trip over and back

Sorry to hear of this Don, that brings back memories of the trip down to the Hub, Rose and mines first long trip on the bike, seeing you and Eileen "trying" to follow your GPS to the Hub, the great times we had down there (someone (B2Dad!) for the first time on their trike trying to handle the curves!), finding Annie and making her part of our group and Eileen driving back down there from your house just to pick her up! I've also done the same with 2 of our German Shepards, both of us know how you feel

Ummm, difference between the 83 1200cc with better valving, springs, etc. versus the de-tuned 1300cc that started in 86??? Gotta remember, those first 83's that came out were as powerful as the first VMaxxes in 85......

Shindegans that was put on the first gens back when I handled the group buy ($75 each!) were great, installed them in the left fairing to keep 'em cool,,,,,need to find such a good air-flowing area on the 2nd gens to put them.....

Just takin' a minute during the day to check on stuff and Voila! Seems like you may need my help, you will HAVE to pull the rotor off the crank to totally investigate the starter clutch, along with pulling it off the rotor to check the round disk the pawls are in to see if it's cracked. If you discover it is, just get ahold of me (email and cell # on my profile) and we'll arrange it. Comes complete as said with new 18 pawl starter clutch, all gaskets needed (including a new copper washer for that lower middle gear cover bolt!) ready for you to put on! Grand total for all this is the paltry $12.35 postage in a USPS medium-size flat rate box to ship it to me, $325.00 for the upgrade and I'll pay the postage back to you. It only takes about a week or 10 days (depending on mail time...) and you'll be back riding again! Thanks to Snaggles, FrankD and the Flyin'Fool for their help on this! One must always pay attention to everything when they are riding, that's why I don't ride inside I465 at all, too many cars.......too many to chance one of them not paying attention getting around me

I thought we had a member who lived up there when we were at The Hub in '09(tshirt reminded me...!), I remember riding with him and talking to him during the International that year.
