Most tent fans are pretty useless and I personally would not recommend a loose drop cord in a tent they do get hot and nylon melts. I have personally camped in just about every environment know to man (Amazon Rain forest to high mountains "with snow") the most miserable I have ever been was in the heat and humidity.:sick: If its that hot and humid either head for higher altitude or just don't fight it and check into a Hotel for the night (Your bod and wife will thank you for the relief) :cool10::cool10:

We got a zoo with giraffes, but they are not visible from the road and we can not get the bike into the zoo... I think we will have to sit this one out. Good Luck to somebody.

After 20+ yrs as a LEO I have to say that I have become some what disgusted with a large part of the LEO community some of the "Brother Cops" are more interested in getting ahead in their own corner of the world and don't have a clue about what the "Old Timers" have gone through (Remember the days when they called us PIGS to our faces). Lately in my own mind and personal actions I have begun to identify myself less as a "COP and more with being a "Biker" yes possibly even a 1%er. When ever I had to deal with a "Real Motorcycle Gang" and it has happened more than once over the years I found that a little respect goes a long way in defusing what could turn nasty in a hurry. The politeness and professionalism with which I exhibited during these encounters lead to several times "Chill dude he's just doing his job" being called out from somewhere in the rear of the pack. Would I have stopped and helped......... Hell yes! (It could have been the guy who said "Chill dude he's just doing his job")

Nobody said anything about size... Okay, new target: Something that can be found most everywhere You on your bike with a historical monument (a real monument, no miniatures please) and tell us what the monument is for.

Oh, leave it stand... there is lots of cactus growing wild along the east coast... If no one gets it by Wednesday, Animal will. (And no, Yucca is not a cactus!)

There has been a lot of good information passed on in this thread . The only thing that I would advise is a week or two before your trip do a night in the back yard testing everything you may use (Rainy night would be best) If you have an equipment failure in the back yard it's not a big deal... 40 miles from nowhere is a big deal! learn your gear and get comfortable with it. (now where were those tent directions)

I can't see it real clear, but it looks like softer sediments are washing out from between the harder rock (shale?)

I googled Ferris Wheel, and they were ALL round.... What do you say Ferrentelli? ( I wonder how long before googled gets in the dictionary ? )

Animal got home from work, I jumped on the bike and we down to the beach front to get a with the ferris wheel.... AND IT WAS GONE! Looks like someone else is gonna have to get it!

Picked up a bag in Walmart, rectangular black cordova nylon, fits perfect. It was maybe $15-20.
