Wyoming deserves another one: Chief Joseph Scenic Byway - WY 296 - 8,061'. It goes from the Beartooth Highway just east of Yellowstone, over Dead Indian Pass, past Dead Indian Hill, and ends just north of Cody. Careful of the tar snakes. Not as dramatic as the Beartooth, but still beautiful and fun to ride.

Combining the Chief Joseph with the Beartooth is hands down the best way to get from Red Lodge, Montana to Cody, Wyoming.

Eck you have Snowshoe listed but not Spruce Knob it is a paved road and it is the highest point in WV.

I understood, but thought the list could stand to have that addition. I noticed that their map has Dead Indian Pass pinned.

By the way, thanks for posting that link. It's always nice to have a to-do list. ;)

Eck there is one more for WV. It is RT 72 from Parsons to Harman. It is very twisty and only 1 1/2 lanes wide. No lines on the road and very few guard rails. Fun road for a bike if you are not in a hurry.

The list I posted is showing only the "highest paved roads" in United States, state by state, (not good riding roads state by state).

I road RT 72 from Parsons to Harman last year with two other friends, and it is a very nice road if your not in a hurry. A few pot holes to watch for, but a very nice ride it was, and I would do it again. We ended up staying the night in Marlinton.

Eck you said The list I posted is showing only the "highest paved roads" in United States, state by state, (not good riding roads state by state).

The heading on this thread says DANGEROUS ROADS not highest elevation.

The LINK that I provided is for finding the dangerous roads.

Ahe top of the "list" of states and roads I stated: This is the list of the highest paved roads in United States, state by state:

On my side of Florida, U.S. 19/ commercial way is notorious for the elderly, drunk, high, blind, deaf, dumb and stupid all out at the same time. In queens, NY, queens blvd. is nicknamed the blvd. of death.... Both places have a high rate of fatalities.most avoidable if ya just slowed down and paid attention...

You know when I first read this post heading, I said to myself "any road around here". Barry you forgot to mention the stupidly high amounts of wrong way drivers here in the last year. Seems to epidemic for some reason.
