They are going to put the cheapest battery in they have, it should be good for a year or two. That is ok, upgrade later. Can't chime in on the shock. I believe that would fall into selling a running bike If it has been sitting run some premium gas and seafoam if its on sale or any good cleaner . RedRider Posted April 10, 2015 Share #30 Posted April 10, 2015 Look at the rear fender just above the rear brake caliper. You may need to open the saddlebag to see it. If there is a ding where the caliper hit the fender, the shock is shot. Not the only sign, but when my shock died on the way back from Houston (it wanted to stay at Squidley and Lonna's), a big bump put a ding there. For some reason, the KBB and Edwards don't treat them fairly, and loan value is not good. But, if I had cash in pocket, that is one bike I would go after relentlessly.
