chag67 Posted October 8, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2013 I called the local Honda/Yamaha dealership where I have my 07 RSV serviced and asked about hitches. They stated they can't get any hitches for this bike and I would have to have one custom made. I thought that was a bit hokey. After searching the Internet, I came across Khrome Works Receiver Hitch. Does anyone have this installed on their bike? Is installation easy? Any problems with it? Thanks.

Since our Venture has finally been discontinued a lot of the larger dealers are starting to blow out accessories. So shop around. There are a couple of members who also make them. The installation is fairly straight foreward. Remove the crossmember on the frame and replace it with the hitch. 4 bolts and you're good to go. The wiring will take more time. Freebird Posted October 8, 2013 Share #3 Posted October 8, 2013 The Khromewerks is a very good hitch. If you want basically the same thing for less than half the price, contact Carbon_one on this site. He makes fantastic products.

valleycat Posted October 9, 2013 Share #10 Posted October 9, 2013 I have the Krome Works hitch and the wiring harness from the forum. +1 on the wiring harness, -1 on the hitch. The harness is very easy to install, and helps avoid the need to cut into the bike's wiring. The Krome Works hitch, while very easy to install, has a terrible positioning for the attach points for the safety chains. Carbon One's hitch has a better placement for these attach points. bongobobny Posted October 12, 2013 Share #16 Posted October 12, 2013 PS if you buy a 5 wire to 4 wire converter, all the wires you need to tie into are behind the licence plate in that chrome triangular piece...
