I have the mechanic version. Looks just like it, but quite a bit bigger.

It's called a pick-up tool... most auto parts stores should have a version...

You got off easy. I almost had to buy my wife a new dishwasher after washing the engine cases and cylinders from my lawn tractor while rebuilding the engine. I won't be doing that again
