2nd request is for me to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a special thanks to those that are serving or has served our great country....Merry Christmas To All...and "Thanks" to all our Military Personnel.......

Earl.....I suppose 1st request is up to you...My Friend:stickpoke:

From the Bike;

New tires. A Day Long seat. Some nice drawings of a huge buck on the tank and hunting scenes with a bow-hunter in the tree-stand and a nice rising/morning sunrise on the saddle bags. The new spark plugs installed. The new brake fluid changed out, it is in the garage with me. Larger mirrors. A brother/sister for company. That's about it for this year. All though my rider/owner wants to purchase a $ 1,150.00 Parker Cyclone Express crossbow with the extra possible income tax check money this year ????

Perhaps a new owner would be a better deal. But nay he takes pretty good care of me with all the sea foam and wax and extra chrome and new oil and grease and fuel in my gut. Not to mention all the reckless driving nick-um-poops that we have avoided together.

So Merry Christmas from the red - raven bike in Fuzzy's garage. Oh ya, the garage is always no colder than 36 degrees when it is really below zero out side. And also the battery tender is hooked up to my heart. Wow, what a nice owner/rider I have.

Merry Christmas to all and to all those less than average taken care of Yamaha bikes out there.

:thumbsup2:

Mine is getting passing lights wired through a relay. I have the valve covers off and going to perform a vavle adjustment after I locate the necessary tool to compress the springs. There is almost 60000miles on it and I dont think it has ever been apart but I was totally impressed at how clean it is under the valve covers. It looks like new. The carbs are on the work bench and are going to be dissassembled, cleaned and the float levels checked. I am changing the coolant and replacing the cylinder drain plugs. Once I get the engine back together I want to remove the swingarm and shaft and perform any maintenaece or parts required there. I just finished changing the brake and clutch fluid. I cant ride till the springtime so this is a ggod time to give it an overhaul. Just want to say thanks to all for the threads regarding float level and valve adjustments and the cylinder coolant drain plugs. Rob

I got a major headache just reading all the stuff you are doing on this thing. I can't change out the windshield without screwing something up! LOL!

I am a mechanic and cant help but totally dissassenble and refresh a toy when I get one. Im a little accentric that way. I just finished diassebling the front end and llubed the stearing bearings, replaced the front wheel bearings and seals (not that there was anything wrong with the bearings but....). I was reading about the ignition bypass this morning. Might as well!!!!

The truth be known. Mine would like a full set of chrome or black metal speaker covers.

Looked everywhere to no avail, so I might take it upon myself to make these a custom project. If you apply any pressure to the plastic speaker vent-ribs, they break or crack.

I'd be happy.

Mine wants a new air horn, vented wind screen and new mirrors. Letter sent to Santa last night!

What does mine want for XMas?

Chrome?? I don't know of a piece that the original owner hasn't already put on it!

Tires? "New" set of E3's with less than 1k miles [when I bought it] thanks to Terry {po}.

What we are looking for??

A CB radio set that won't cost us $500 to put on the bike. The Utopia backrest like the one that Terry kept for his '99 RSV [RATS!] New horn/s. A bike this size shouldn't sound like a VW Beetle!

We're thinking carb mods, tranny mods, rear end mods. I'm just not sure what can be done to the original Royal Star bike. But I'm going to have fun finding out!!
