OK, getting antsy, can't sleep, Lisa is in the kitchen baking, :smile5: trying to waste time till day-light and says we are leaving then and to find a loooonnngg way there so we get more riding in. :sign woo hoo: Now how can I argue with that? :thumbsup2:

We should be at the cabin around 3:00 to 3:30 ish. I'll get a fire going and start some chili for anyone that wants some.

Talked with Ken and we thinks the rides should start at 10:00 am Friday and Saturday so some of the chill will be gone and not get anyone toooo cold. :stirthepot:

Not sure what Ken has, but my ride will be approximately 150 miles with the option of another 25 miles depending on time. Lunch will be at the Casino (buffet):thumbsup2: in Marquette, IA, and there will be a stop or two at a couple of Orchards along the way after lunch. "My ride is NOT fast paced, some may call me poky but we tend to enjoy the scenery not how fast we can get from point A to B." (This is my first time really putting anything together for a group that I have "never" road with. So if some think it is to short or to long or has any suggestions for anything, please let me know. I would like to do this again next year too, if people like it.) :thumbsup2:

See you there,

Bryan

Is it 4 o'clock yet????

I got home from work at 3:15, by 3:25 the bike has been unpacked from work and repacked for the trip.

Just waiting for Karen to get home, and we'll be on our way.

If she gets done on time, we should be there around 6:45 (including a stop in Readstown for a case o beer and some soda for Karen's whiskey)

Later, Scooter Bob

Met up with the leaf lookers today as they were getting back to there cabins. Brian could not have ordered a better weekend. Sounds like they were having a great time wish I didn't have to work today :crying: it would have been a great ride. We visited with them for about an hour and then headed home. Want to thank Mike for his offer to stay Thank You Mike. Didn't get to meet everyone but hopefully this may become a yearly event. Thanks Brian

Damn Ken, you must have made good time, you beat us home!;)

Kudos to Ken and Bryan and Lisa for setting this up. Great Idea!:clap2::thumbsup2:

By the time we got done with breakfast and shopping at Franks, it was almost noon. We headed North out of Readstown on 131 and kept taking every little backroad that sort of went in the homeward direction. 1 hour and 40 minutes later we finally found a town big enough to have a gas station to get a bottle of water.

Then we went to North Freedom to the Mid-Continent Railway Museum and looked around and took a little train ride.:sign kewl:

Had supper in Baraboo and finally had to head home.:(

We hated to see such a wonderful weekend come to an end.:(

Hope everyone else makes it home safe and sound, and looking forward to next year!:thumbsup2:

Later, Scooter Bob and Karen

We made it back a little while ago as well. 636 miles on the odometer for us over the weekend. It's been a while since I've put on that kind of mileage.

We had a GRRRRRRRRREAT time! It was awesome to finally meet some of the members of the wonderful forum.

Jeannie, IH Truck Guy, Cupcake, & I all made a detour on our way home and stopped in Durand for a drink and a bite to eat. Then Jeannie & I showed the other two the back roads back to their house and we got the tour of their new home.

Now to find a "ticker"! Only 360ish days left until the next Leaf Looker Run!
