bongobobny Posted February 28, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 28, 2010 I saw a good deal on SS lines for a RSTD and was wondering if they are the same lines as the RSV? Part of me wants to say yes but I want to make sure...

Squeeze Posted March 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 1, 2010 The Fitting Diameters are all the same. Probably not so on the Fitting Angles and Angles between the Fittings. So, if you're looking at SS Lines which are not adjustable (Fitting turnable inside the Line), you're stuck. Lenghts most likely will be slightly different, but that shouldn't be the biggest Problem. So, unless somebody actually knows the Answer, it's your Turn venturing a Guess ... Rick Haferkamp might know the Answer, most likely Rick Butler too. GigaWhiskey Posted March 1, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 1, 2010 I have no idea whatsoever. I was thinking about parting them together for my 85 but have not gotten around to it yet. Might go though Z1 Enterprises. Used them for momma's SS line and it worked out good.
skydoc_17 Posted March 2, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 2, 2010 Hey Bob, I have a local vendor making up S.S. Brake Lines for the RSV to R1 Brake Swap. I can provide those lines for you in pretty much any angle configuration and length you want. Because I don't have a Second Gen. I have not been able to fit the special fitting on the rear brake line but would be willing to give a discount to the person that works with me on figuring what fitting is needed for the rear line. If you are interested in pricing, please feel free to PM me. Earl

Squeeze Posted March 2, 2010 Share #8 Posted March 2, 2010 Different Parts# doesn't say anything about if the Lines will work or not.
bongobobny Posted March 3, 2010 Author Share #9 Posted March 3, 2010 The set, described as plural "lines" turned out to be one line! Thanks for checking it out Skydoc!!!
