My father was a Marine, but did not die in action. I had no Idea the military went to such lengths for their KIA's. It made us feel proud to be Americans, first time in a while. Side note : When a fallen Hero is returned home they are now transported from Dover by a private Air Carrier mostly Koletta airlines(sp?) and they are carried in the cabin of the aircraft..No more in the cargo compartment if it can be helped. My first and foremost was this sure wasn't the way I and others who came back from Viet Nam (both as individuals and as escorts were treated. Was sure glad to see we are making progress in this arena. My second gut feeling was this seem to be a movie that tore at the heart of former service members (especially those with combat experience), but I was left wondering if today's non-vet would be so affected. Lastly, I was impressed with Beacon's (sp) squared away Marine presentation. He had some moves down so well that it was hard at times to remember that he was an actor.
