Congrats and Welcome.

When leaning it over at a stop just remember it is heavy, and hope you continue enjoying your ride, as I am sure you will. Also glad you stopped by as this place is almost as addicting as your new ride is

I got a 07 a couple of weeks ago with 19 miles...now 879 miles. I have a 30" inseam and I cannot flat foot the bike either...but it is so balanced I have no problems. I would leave it alone... It slow speed handles better than other big bikes I test road.

Maybe I missed it in the thread somewhere, but what bike did you trade in?

I traded in my '06 Vulcan 900 with 21K miles. At first they did not want to take the trade since it came from eBay, but the dealership was so willing to work with me throughout the deal.:clap2:

I agree. With the weight, I give the bike lots of respect. I cannot afford to loose concentration and lean it at a stop. Just like last night on my way home from work, they were paving parts of I-83N near the MD/PA line and it was a stop and go for about 15 minutes. One thing I like about this bike...even at slow speeds...it seems to be well balanced.

I can flat foot one side, but not quite flat foot on the other side. You are right and I am glad that I did not have the bike lowered in any way. Regards and ride safe.

Hi Ron. Thanks. I really do like the color scheme...of the blue and some black on the side of the tank, bags and fenders. I had the dealer add the light bar and the run/brake light on top of the trunk. That's about it...for the bike has everything that I want for a nice touring machine. When I started riding, I thought I will never have a radio on a bike and owning an '07 Venture was a dream come true. ;)

Keep in touch as I am going to be as frequent as I can in this forum, so we can coordinate a nice ride next season. I do ride all winter long, but I think I am going to stay local and commute to and from work. It is amazing that one can rack a lot of miles just commuting to work...:8:

BTW, how did you get 8K miles in just 2 months?

What time on 3.830 Mhz? If you guys are also on over the weekend, I may be able to join the QSO and introduce myself.

They're on there every morning starting around 8:00 a.m. and go for a couple hours. I'm not on the air, but sometimes listening while I'm working around the house. They're a really good bunch of guys, I've known about all my life. Sometimes they're on in the evenings, but move up to 160 m. I'm listening now, but no ones around......

Well ride that baby up to Shillington this Sunday, show her off, shoot the bull, take a little ride, meet a few members and still be home before dark. Craig:hurts:

I thought a saw an exit to Shillington from 76W...:lightbulb:

Not this Sunday, but we can definitely pick a nice weekend after Halloween...my weekends are pretty much booked for now and have been helping my daughter pick the college or university she wants to attend in a year from now....that is very stressing for her:sick:.

Anyway, I am sure and hoping that we will have some nice weekend in December and I may be able to bring along a ride buddy who also got himself a brand-new '07 Tour Deluxe a couple of months ago.

Regards and Ride Safe.:Venture:

One thing you need to keep an eye on with the 2007 RSV is a possible coolant leak from improper torqueing of the heads. If it is not leaking yet I would have them checked at the first service opportunity. They can re-torque if it isn't leaking, but if it has started leaking they have to replace the head gaskets. It is all covered under warrantly but can take the dealer a week or two to get it done. There is a service bulletin on the problem.

Thanks for the heads up. I remember a forum member had mentioned this to me before and I will check on this so a shop can do the warranty job. The last time I checked and inquired about this particular problem is that only a number of Ventures actually had the problem...not sure if they are pulling my leg or not. :rotfl::rotfl:
