  1. Today
  2. Good morning to all! I am going to take a power nap. Enjoy your Friday.
  3. Thank you. Do I have to remove the air box to just change the rear gasket.
  4. Yesterday
  5. Hi Don. I remember going to your house long time ago and being that close to the great lakes probably has its pros and cons. As far as two beautiful days a week ago, I managed to get a ride in on my RSV. I can't wait to do a safety check on the SVTC and ride to and from work this weekend since I got called in once again to cover for a colleague. Weather next week in our area according to our local weatherman is seasonal in the 50s, so the warm up is not really coming fast enough. Hopefully next week, we hope to hear something from you that you were able to get a ride in on your Harley. Good evening to all.
  6. That being said, when is going to warm up. We had two nice days last week when I could have gone for a ride but was busy. Yesterday it was 16 and snowing. Mostly gone now but everything is wet.
  7. Not that hard. It’s easier if you remove the air box but they can be wiggled out.
  8. I have talked to Mr. T. He had 325k on his RSV last time I talked to him. He told me several times, adjust the valves around 40k and never worry with them again. I had mine adjusted at 70 and new gaskets, carb boots. I now have 137k and have another oil leak. I seems to be on the back covers. I have not tried, because, not sure how much is involved changing gaskets.
  9. Happy Thursday morning to all! There you go...tomorrow it is.
  10. Replacing the gaskets is a good time to check the clearances on the valves also. Rick F.
  11. Last week
  12. Still riding my first gen, my wife and I usually ride to Arkansas a couple of times a summer and then around the southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma area. I would like to take it to the Taos area of New Mexico but not sure if my wife is on board for that long of a trip on the bike. I also need to start doing some plastic repair, stuff is getting brittle and cracking. Gonna keep going with this bike as long as I can!
  13. I have a Clymer Yamaha Royal Star 1996-2003 Shop manual in great condition.....free to good home. You pay the shipping if shipping is required. Bought a Wing, no longer need this manual.

  14. I had a QSO on a linked 70cm repeater and we were talking about Moby Dick https://www.mobyskabob.com/ and they serve delicious Persian food. I am going to give this a try in the near future.
  15. Hope your SVTC is almost ready to go for the riding season. Just waiting for better temps. Maybe I might stock up on one more spare starter just in case.
  16. Good morning to all. Frigid temps this morning in the mid 20's. Have a great day!
  17. Still Chilly here in SE Pa. 29 degrees.

This was meant to be a joke.
  19. Same thing here,,, don't ride anymore but it doesn't stop the great memories experienced through here that we would have never done on all of our own journeys. Plus the help (mechanical and recovery) that I have also been able to send and receive.
  20. I may not Checkin everyday , but I'm here to stay. I keep hoping to see a rally come up, I miss all the friendships and faces we've met along the way. You da man Don ☝️
  21. Thanks for all the positive comments. It's been one heck of a ride and it's not over yet.
